AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Erm, to make more money? It's not that hard to understand.

Of course making money is the goal here, bogging down a discussion in semantics is a waste of time, I think we can assume most, if not all people understand the basic premise of buying and selling, what I am alluding to, if I have to actually spell it out for you, is why the considerable increase in pricing over their competitors? What are OcUK offering to justify that?

Well after watching Gamers Nexus Reviews and seen the issues Jay was having with Control and drivers (minor issues i know) I am glad there was none for me to have as i probably would have tried to get one, at least until i saw the prices. Think i will just get a 3080 when in stock. The prices on here are crazy compared to other sites. Will wait for competitors to have stock of 3080 and 5950x and purchase from them instead

I managed to snag 6800xt for £619.99 from competitor, I didn't even try here, as I knew it will be an incompetent joke, again. I'm in the queue for 3080 x Trio here for almost £800, so the 6800xt is for sure better buy for me.

@ScottiB

I don't know why I'm even bothering because I don't expect you to give us honest and transparent answers at this point, after what we've been seeing lately from this company.

But here goes I'll try anyway.
  • What are you going to do different next week when the AIBs are out?
  • Are you actually going to try and make sure your web pages are live and available to people?
  • Are you actually going to communicate with us about what stock you have?
  • Are you going to bump the prices up to silly levels well beyond what the RRPs are?

Its about time for some honesty.

I guess you'd have had an add to basket button not a pre order button. I only ever saw pre-order.

Ah right. Pretty sure mine was add to basket/buy. I was surprised enough to see it. Waiting to see what happens. I'll probably get myself overexcited researching 6800xt water cooling blocks then get a notification saying I've saved myself £79 and a whole load more!

I think ordering a reference model is a mistake. The AIB cards will arrive very soon and most likely with better cooling and noise performance. It's not like the Ryzen CPUs where there's zero competition and therefore no reason to wait - the GPUs will have a slew of options, overclocks, sizes, etc. Not to mention the lowered stress levels of avoiding the rush.

It depends what you're sitting on at the moment though... if you've got a RTX 2080 in your machine then why not wait a few months? But if like a lot of people you didn't buy that 2080 and decided to hold off half a year or so longer for the September 3080 launch and then ended up missing out and having to wait another couple months for the BigNavi launch... at some point you care less about the nice to haves and just want something that can play the latest releases.

I'm not sure where you got this order detail from but based on the time that this order hit our system I'm fairly sure that they don't have any hope of actually receiving one, that would be well over 100th in the queue.

Judging by that, i'm potentially a couple of hundred places later. Might see how it goes but will probably cancel and wait.

I just gave the name "Jarrod" a search across the forum . Couldn't believe my luck when I got a match!

This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.

:)

He relisted it without his OCUK order attached. I'd say its because he's a forum member, but he didn't get free shipping so maybe he's just aware of the forum and reading this thread.

Hi, numbnuts!

The ebay scalpers are even worse than OCUK!

Those prices are maddening, and the fact that people might pay it is even more insane!
