AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

its pretty simple, in fact its the way with every other product
When my Tesco ran out of bog roll they didn't sell the last 4 pack for an extra £2 on top

The product costs RRP

I would like to buy one at the RRP
I would not like to buy one for an extra £70-£80

Sorry but to me £70 is a huge markup and is a lot and I genuinely wanted a card now but I just couldn't justify it at all.
65 6800s lasted over 30minutes on the store, at £70 above the rrp. Those cards are now off the scalpers list of easy money as very few were snapping them up at that price.
Now if a scalper buys at "rrp" they might make £70 on a 6800 not including any fees.

I got one and order confirmed but will probably sell it next year for a xt version when all partner cards are out and available. With the way things are going it might even hold it value just glad to be out off the rat race for a new card to be honest and I game at 2k with freesync and not bothered about raytracing so this card is ideal.

Got my order in when there was 10+

Hardware unboxed says 6800 is great :)

Congrats on securing a 6800. :)

What time did you place the order?

Might just be me, but I didn't even see the stock go live and I was refreshing the page constantly.

It’s a miraculous coincidence that 65 cards just managed to end not being sold yesterday despite huge demand, then today they go up for sale with a healthy price increase.

That’s your forum loyalty for you guys.

Our general customer base had no idea we had them, the only official stating we had them was here on this forum. They had sold within 30 mins without the company even trying to sell them. If we made an announcement stating we had them they would have sold within a minute or two. We kept it quiet so the people who wanted one on the forum could get one.

We expect another 100pc of each Powercolor and Sapphire 6800 NONE XT due next week, these will be made available to order next week when they arrive.

Just not to the people who have already paid for them!!!

They were £599 yesterday, they were £599 today, the price has not changed on OcUK on any 6800 series cards since launch, we are just not at suggested price.

All cards got pulled yesterday due to overload and so it was done to do our best to prevent selling too many, as it turns out most of the ordering was on XT versions, hence some none XT were left which were made available on the quiet to forum members if they wanted one.

All our 6800 stock is now sold out but we have 100 each more of 6800 NONE XT due next week, these again won't be changing in price, shall still be £599.

Paying that much to upgrade from a 2070? Unless your scalping Yikes man

It's on par, or rather slightly faster than 3070 and 2080ti, so not that huge improvement over 2070, but still significant. If you look at prices of 3070 here, the 6800 is a bargain, but if you take away OCUK tax and look at the price of 6080xt from competitor yesterday (599 for Sapphire and 619 for Powercolor) it looks ridiculous.

I see the stock 10+ when placing order, but after now shows no stock
this card be for my 2nd PC that got an old GTX 1070

@Gibbo did I get this card showed 10+ in stock payment now done Order received - processing payment

I really don`t understand people complaining about the prices. It`s the market right now. They should complain about the scalpers which ruin the market for genuine buyers. I needed 2 cards and was lucky to get one yesterday direct from AMD which was an RX6800XT. Is it nice that the prices have gone up, not at all?

Only you and you alone can decide if you are willing to pay that amount or not. We can actually be happy that OC informed us here they could have sold it yesterday for sure they did not and informed members in the Forum " Missed a chance, here you got a second one "

And on the other hand yes they want to make money and this is their god-given right.

Ah that's good. Looking at the order confirmation time above, i think i had stopped refreshing at 10:40 or so.

Glad some folks were able to bag some 6800's.

You should have one yes, I pulled the ability for customers to order whilst my system was still showing 25 left, it is now currently showing 13 left, but there are still some orders to download.
If worse case you did not, there is another 100pc arriving next week which would cover your order but I think you will get one from this batch as I believe we have not oversold. :)

I explained this yesterday before the cards went back on sale and for your information, £599.99 was our price at 2pm yesterday and it was our price today.

Right, gotcha sorry
all of the XTs sold, faster than we or our website could respond, we only put buy button live for a matter of minutes...it was about an hour before we discovered the full nightmare of the oversale. Because we couldn't trust the website we also pulled the buy button from the non-XTs at the same time and when the dust settled we realised that we hadn't sold them all.

The root problem is that, typically the communication between our website and our back end is almost instantaneous, but the website was apparently handling hundreds of transactions every minute and so that communication basically stalled for a good half hour. We felt it best to leave those free non XT cards for tomorrow, when the general public traffic has died down and give you forum members a heads up. When we do put them up for sale we don't expect to have the thousands of connections which ground us down today.
