I can't wait to see what the price of the cheapest 8 core chip will be.
If its not too expensive and it is comparable to Sandybridge speed that will be enough for me.
I would be doubling my cores (or modules) and have a small hike in Mhz from my q6600 (well from stock anyway not that it has ever been run at that speedother than a quick test to make sure it worked before I lapped it )
See I think you and I are in the perfect place to benefit from Bulldozer. It doesn't have to be much if any faster than Sandybridge for us to benefit. I couldn't justify the upgrade to sandy as it just wasn't enough of a gain in performance from my Q6600. However, if your talking going from 4 to 8 cores, then things start to make more sense.
