AMD confirms Ryzen 7 5800X3D launches this spring, Zen4 Raphael in 2H 2022

No its doesn't..... scores are again pretty much exactly the same, i think its time for you to back up your claims like i have.

The extra 2 cores 4 threads make up the IPC deficit, but you know how it is, per core performance matters more. Or so i was always told.

And now we have Intels budget 6 core beating AMDs 8 cores, no wonder Gelsinger is saying AMD is in the rear view mirror.

Intel released new generation cpu, ofcourse it should be better, nothing miracle, AMD will put cache on old Zen 3 and demolish Alder Lake. Zen 4 will continue with domination, while Intel will focus on marketing and dirty tactics as usual.

"Demolish" you say?

Before we have independent data on either the 5800X3D or the upcoming 2900KS, what does "demolish" mean to you?

What will this demolition look like?

Gelsinger is trying to prove himself, Since about 2018 Instead of just gracefully allowing their products to do all the talking Intel have been loud and combative but at this point have lost their mindshare, so they turn the primary school yard posturing up to 11 thinking that will get it back for them.

I don't know how you view that Gelsinger video, by what you're saying here i'm assuming its got you feeling like you have had a lot of high sugar content fizzy drinks? But if you're asking me, and i'm assuming you are since you are putting this to me, all i'll say is talk is cheap.

The slide shows that the performance is doing the talking though as even with AMDs impressive Zen 3 the 5600X could beat the previous gen 8 core in ST MT and gaming.

You're talking like that slide is the death nail for AMD and using Gelsinger's antics as a reinforcing element to it.

I don't know which of these two options is worse, that you're sucked into by it or think that i would be.

A slide showing a 2 year old part, on a end of life (mid range chipset no less) platform, with pretty slow DDR4 and unknown cooling VS a super highend and heavily dialled in something else.

Not particularly impressive at all.

It is funny to see how some fanboys happily support Intel ceo when saying it will be "death" of AMD, like Intel will then offer cheaper, better product for their fanboys Xd. I think every Intel fanboys should be in crying mode after CEO talk, if death of AMD comes, then 8 core will be premium for next 10 years, along with new chipset every generation while IPC increase is about 1%. We all know what happens when Intel have monopoly.

edit: and special message for ADL owners, without AMD you would still be on skylake platform, and quad core so...

I was going to tell him:

I think Intel want their mindshare back so they can go back to doing nothing and charging $2000 for CPU's a bit better than the stagnant crap they have been re-branding on mainstream for a few years.

Be careful what you wish for.

at the moment intel is cheaper than amd on cpu price to performance so your wrong on that.

lol, sure, 12400 walks all over the 5800X... As long as you spend £570 on a motherboard, and god knows how much on the scalped DDR5, and compare OC'd 12400 to stock 5800X. Let's ignore the fact you could get a 5900X setup for that price (or less), maybe even a 5950X, or a 12600K/12700K if you want to go Alder Lake.

12400 doesn't need an expensive motherboard or DDR5. (-certainly not for Cinebench the benchmark you are responding to)

Did you not read the slide? It's from De8auer testing of the BCLK external clock gen, using an ASUS Z690 Apex and 32GB of DDR5 6000MHz RAM... the CPU costs 1/3 that of the board, and in total makes up 10% of the cost of the platform it is installed on to get those results.

lol Holly #### yeah i just looked at the components.

A grand total of £1,300 in that budget system

Mine was £650. Literally half the price.
