AMD confirms Ryzen 7 5800X3D launches this spring, Zen4 Raphael in 2H 2022

Its a fail on arrival if its priced that much. Intel will wipe the floor with amd on value and performance.

Joxen was helping point out that if the 5800X3D is priced anything sub £1010 pounds it’s a win for the consumer. If AMD come in around £500 buyers should make a charitable donation to a good cause. Probably Intel share holders :p

it`ll be around the current price tbh

I think that depends on the number of Joxens per square mile. If the gaming market get behind a single CPU the 5800X3D could become a cult chip for a niche buyer. People are paying £1600 for the privilege of 12% extra performance in the GPU market. If a system built around 5800X3D offers similar gains then it could command a big premium. Maybe even creating a sub market of CPU’s.

Yeah but you can easily get a 5800x for £292 without any hardship. And it needs to compete price wise with a 12700k anyways I believe. So £360 needs to be the release price but its likely to be overpriced and around £500.

5800X is ~£345 as a mean average of the cheapest retailers in the UK, I'd say it would be at least £399 if they don't want to look like a bargain basement company with a top preforming product.

At 400 quid its into 5900x territory. Cant see it being better in multi thread stuff against the 12 core part.

Assuming that is used? I’ve been looking and they are closer to 400 than 300. From anywhere reputable at least.

Joxen will never stop championing the 5800X3D. Paired it with a B550, £80 set of DDR4 4000 and RX 6900XTXH, Phew… fastest gaming setup ever! for less than what greedy Nvidia charge just for a RTX 3090 no less.
Amazing value but it’s will become tiring listen to Joxen and chums praise AMD over and over.

Literally u just Google 5800x and it on the main page, with that i have used it to purchase from another place whom said they were happy to price match in store.

It’s not available for anything like that price. You wouldn’t be able to keep them stock.
