AMD demonstrates Ryzen 9 5900X prototype with 3D V-Cache stack chiplet design

Oh one other thing @4K8KW10 AMD are about 300% ahead of AMD right now!

Like everything with Intel marketing jargon its all utterly meaningless, its just numbers to fool midwits.

How many ways do you this explained?

Apart from getting out some glove puppets, I’m not sure how to get through.

Intel have a massive gap to close. AMD are years ahead and keep opening the gap with every new product. Ie 3D V-Cache.

Alder lake will have to contend with Zen3, Zen3.5 and Zen4 across, desktop, workstation and data centre and exascale markets. The performance gap currently ranges from 100-220% and we haven’t even seen AMD fully flesh out it’s Zen3 range yet. AMD could beat Intel to the desktop market with its updated V-Cache chips.

I feel bad for Intel. They have tried hard in many ways, but this isn’t close and Intel aren’t going to catch AMD anytime soon. Nova Lake and beyond, should be the start of Intel’s comeback. Between now and then it’s going to get rough for Intel and it’s all about GPU’s and starting a 3 way fight with Radeon and Nvidia.

That's the thing that excites me about Intel at the moment, It looks like Intel are about to take a giant leap forward with their CPU's which is great but in the grand scheme of things its all still *meh*
 
The best thing as consumers we can hope for is AMD/Intel constantly trading blows and passing torches with every single release - this way competition is fierce so pricing is the best.

Really do not get the mind set of these Intel fanboi my team crushes xyz do you want $350 quad cores for seven years with 3-5% ipc increase and anything above that costing up to $2000 as that's how we got it last time.

Meanwhile AMD quietly goes about its business and produce the products it promises. As for things to look out for we already know 3D Cache is coming to the market hopefully this year but 3D Stacked cores is also in the pipe line from AMD. Plus it has already been reported that AMD could have added more cores to their current line up of CPU's so we also have that to look forward to

You need to learn that just because i slide says its true doesn't mean it is. Intels track record of delivering has been shocking these last few years over promising and under delivering, AMD on the other hand have been the total opposite

It is reported as cancelled and there are no leaks of engineering samples or any other leaks similar to how Alder Lake is currently being leaked.

The only thing 100% certain is Zen 4 scheduled for Q4 2022 lol

Not true, your post yesterday mentioning the cancellation of the next ZEN chips was from April, Meanwhile Lisa Su herself showcased 3D Cache in June and reports confirmed it was on schedule for release December time. As for ZEN 4 it has been leaked back in July that they will be about 29% faster then ZEN 3.

It's worth noting that back in April, it was rumored AMD had cancelled its planned Zen 3+ refresh, but that was in reference to its desktop CPUs, not its APUs. Then in June, AMD unveiled a new 3D chiplet technology called 3D V-cache, and confirmed it would be applying it to current generation Zen 3 CPUs.



So we know for sure that AMD is planning to launch a new round of Zen 3 CPUs with the added benefit of 3D V-cache, which is claimed to deliver a 15% boost in gaming performance. That being the case, it makes perfect sense why a Zen 3+ refresh for AMD's desktop CPUs would be cancelled. In its place, Zen 3 CPUs outfitted with new 3D V-cache will fill the gap between now (well, soon) and when Zen 4 arrives next year.


Speaking of which, Greymon55 posted a follow-up tweet saying, "AMD's packaging plants in mainland China will complete six new products in the first half of next year."

Warhol was never a thing, it was a rumour, one that turned out to be wrong. AMD cancels a fake rumour... good grief.

This sums up WCCF.

Warhol was a rumour, AMD never said anything about it, it never appeared on any of their roadmaps, WCCF and others said it was a thing and then it turned out not to be, so instead of saying "we got that wrong" WCCF chose to say AMD cancelled it, AMD cancelled a CPU that was only ever in the imagination of WCCF.

And now @4K8KW10 thinks Warhol is Zen 3D and its cancelled :rolleyes:
