In theory you could convert some dvd/cd (5.25 drive bays) into a 120mm fan and stick it there right? or is the rad to wide

I actually thought about that as well, as im only using the very top slot, so bags of room in there, and looks like its wide enough to take it. :)

That's an fury x at 1120 core, has a bit to go to match an tx/ti oc.

You can see on the MSI AB chart that he had core at 1240 at one point. From what I see, currently the Fury X is voltage locked (most likely due to MSI AB not being updated or something driver related or something like that). So getting 1120 on stock volts is pretty good, my cards manage about that too. I have never water cooled my cards, but I see 1300 obtainable with watercooled hawaii, so that would most likely be enough to push it over a TX overclocked.

But if he got 1240 on stock volts like that chart suggests... then wow, maybe fiji does overclock really well.. that would be a whole other story. Imagine a 1400MHz Fury X with the stock AIO, 70c and 40% fan speed? yes please! (just a guess obviously before the trolls attack)

He has tired overclocking further but can't get more than 1120 stable, 1240 probably an instant fail but AB still records it as highest clock.

Oh right fair enough. Oh well, 1120 on stock volts is still acceptable. Like I said I manage 1100 on my 290's at stock, so 1120 fiji stock volts is nothing to sniff at. I imagine we will get 1250MHz with around +200mv then. My Tri-X's can only handle 1160 with +50 before they get too hot for my liking, but this cooler looks amazing. Hopefully MSI AB allows more than +100mv overclocking for this card, as I can really see it being pushed to 1250MHz easily, maybe even higher.

I think AMD nailed it when they went with an AIO. Even if Fiji didn't need it all l. It will make all the difference. Silence, low temps even with overclocking will be the real treat.

Wonder how long we will have to wait until we get voltage control.

About half an hour upon someone with a bit of coding know how receiving one I suspect.

I will hold off clocking the memory until someone else tries and hopefully doesn't fail.

As much as I want a Fury X I will not support price gouging, its so anti-consumer its not even funny.

Hoping that one of the many other places in the UK sells one without adding a 20% extra tax just because they feel like it, if not, I can always wait.
