If its GCN 1.2 is that possible?
Yes.
AMD has dx12 with the 200/300 and the Fury series.
Once windows 10 comes out enjoy dx12 on your AMD card.
DX12 is a bit confusing for some atm as we dont have windows 10 out yet.

Thanks, now we can get back to talking about fiji, the thing the thread is actually about
Someone posted before the thread closed that Fiji is confirmed GCN 1.2, not 1.3 as some people expected. Anyone got a source for that?
So is the 4k dx12 Fury actually full dx12 or not?
Well done guys.
Heres your Fiji thread back all cleaned up.
The tubes look decent length on guru3D images.
Ouch Fury FP64 performance is twice slower than 390X, absolutely useless to bitcoin miners and also has no HDMI 2.0 port too.
They are 400mm I think I read somewhere!
I read they are 400mm, should be more than long enough. Done a rough measure on my Corsair 780t, will have no problem putting it anywhere in the case

Fury X will get three DP 1.2 ports and one HDMI 1.4 connector (there is no HDMI 2.0 support).

Meh don't see why you'd use hdmi unless you want audio over itbut HDMI 2.0 can dole out 4K video without compromise, at 50 and 60 frames per second. In HDMI 1.4, the rate of 4K was limited to 24 frames per second.
Tempted to grab one but how hot and loud are they compared to a 980?

My first 280x was loud as hell, think it was windforce too the card ran at stupid temps compared to the 280x I got instead
kinda put me off amd since the first card was like having a hair drier inside my pc case
EDIT yup was a Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X Rev2.0 WindForce 3X OCI (I think the fans were always at 80%+ gaming and the temp something stupid like 70-80c+ creplaced it with Asus Radeon R9 280X DirectCUII TOP which was much quieter and about 10c cooler
But if AMD still have a rep for stupidly hot cards again this generation I think I'll pass
