AMD - How To Overclock The Official Way Using Afterburner + Step By Step Overclocking Guide + Comple

ok so i have just done all the above from the first post, sweep drivers etc and all seems to be good. so how do i go about over clocking my twin frozr v2. whats the first steps, then what and then what. will report back as i go along.

Right click the menu bar of GPU-Z and click 'read asic'.
Your asic is quite high, judging by your stock volts.

Iirc, you can get away with about +0.125v over stock volts. Don't rush it though and just whack it up. Treat it like a lady and go slow ;)

Find out what clocks you can achieve on stock voltage before you start raising it.

Thanks, good to know. Can't ever see MSI locking voltage.

Yeah they have been good clockers to date. The only thing they changed was they started putting these on 7970 ref PCBs. Mine are on 7950 ref PCBs though as i bought them as soon as they got released. Not a lot of difference but you just need to check if you decide to water block them like i did.

Forgive the newbie question. But, when you run heaven or valley do you run it at your monitors native res?
Also, what levels of AA For both and how much tessalation for heaven?

Yes run it at your native res. Pick settings that get you around 30-60fps to represent a realistic load on your gpu. I go for these at 1440p when testing an overclock using unigine.
