AMD Launches FMF2-Amd Fluid Motion Frames 2

Would like to hear some more stories about using AFMF 2 in games, particularly at 1440p and 4K.

How is it working out for people?

My own impression so far, is that it is not a gimmick, because of the wide support for this feature and it’s ease of use.

Tried it in x4, but i get tearing. Im on my tele which is not freesync etc, just 1080p 60hz. Tried to cap fps to 58 in drivers as chill which is suppose to work with it doesnt as turns off afmf if u put chill on, so used frame target lock thing instead. Tried vsync off and on ingame but still tearing. Fps went up 20fps or so but the tearing was mad.

I'm also interested in this.
Also is there a difference in how well it works on 6000 and 7000 series?

You can use it in Silent Hill 2 as well. It can help with the performance a bit, but the game has a lot of sudden drops in framerate which are difficult to mitigate.

The PS5 version is much smoother, as shown in Digital Foundry's video.

@4K 65" QDOled.

Much more likely to enable FMF2 than I would FMF as there's been big improvements.

Been enabling FMF2 via hotkey when SWO decides to randomly make 69fps feel like 24 fps.

Don't know what's going on in the game but FMF2 saves you from quitting and losing level progress when you restart the game.

FMF2 made The Ascent a far more fluid experience although stopped playing it when I got fed up of the grind in a highly repetitive game.
