AMD on the road to recovery.

Intel is a sunset phase business, meaning it's being around for so long and has become so embedded that it's no longer focused on growth but instead focused on stable income.

Investors invest in sunset business because they are looking for stable returns, not quick, high risk returns like Nvidia. Another good example of a sunset business is Coca Cola, you only buy their shares for the dividend payouts.

So when a sunset business like Intel declares a reduction or cancellation of dividend payments (the entire reason shareholders hold Intel shares) then you will see a massive sell off as investors take their money elsewhere, that's why a dividend reduction announcement can cause a 30 to 40% tanking in the share price

If AMD or Nvidia announced a reduction in dividends today, their share price would only move 5% max, because 90% of their investors don't care about dividends. But 90% of Intel investors only care about dividends, most Intel investors are hedge funds and banks, looking for a stable 5-7% annual return for their customer's retirement funds

Every little helps ;)

selling assets, 1700~ redundancies, cancel dividends, cancel media dates, selling their private planes

This is some cost cutting. How much **** are they in?
