They've swapped around the side the window is on on the corsair 240 case - its been put on the back bit where only the PSU and drive enclosures are.

The other thing is AMD put up a Polaris page recently - if it were delayed by 5 months,it would seem premature to do so. Maybe,Polaris 11 is on track and Polaris 10 is delayed?? At the moment it is hard to say.

I am hoping the May event will shed some more light on things,but also supposedly AMD is meant to launch AM4 too soon,so it could be that too.

Would be awesome,if AM4,Bristol Ridge and Polaris would be launched at the same time!!

What were the shown demos running on? Now you're moving into the realm of saying that the demos shown were faked and the hardware wasn't installed. Let's not get crazy here, they were most likely Polaris engineering samples as stated.

Doesn't sound good, as still to this day, no ones seen an actual proper card.

Unless they are going to do a Nvidia, and show the actual cards at the end of this month at their next event.

That's exactly what I was thinking, just because the stuck a board on top of the case saying 'Polaris 10' doesn't mean anything, it could have been running a Fury Nano for all we know.

The Elite 110 is a small form factor case and can only handle upto 7.1" cards.

The pictures I linked showed the back of the card and the backplate does not match a Fury Nano.

Nope,since the backplate is totally different and we can see it is a prototype card as the PCB extends over the top of the cooler.

You can also see the cooler is not connecting to the front of the backplate indicating it is some sort of radial air cooler.

You can see it in the rear picture clearly.

You do realise that The polaris cards are low end cards for the mainstream market, they are going to be replacing the 380/370 cards. They aren't going to be anywhere the performance of the 1080, probably not even the 1070.

A lot of people seem to think that the Polaris cards are going to be competing with the 1080/1070.

No-one is 'Forcing' you to do anything dude. It's your own choice. No-one to blame if the choice is wrong at the end of the day but on the other hand, you could be giving yourself a clap and a pat on the back if you have chosen the right card for you when the dust finally settles.

Mind you, if you are willing to wait up to a month to find out if they are going to be late, wouldn't it be better to then get a non-founders card from an AIB for $100 less. Just sayin'

AMD is releasing new cards soon. Some low end, some high end. Doesn't really matter what name we call them. They will have a "range" of cards.

Some engineering samples may be working better than other, or if the rumour is correct then the cards run at low clock speeds just fine in which case they have a card that will draw very little power, which ties in with AMD's marketing.

At the end of the day showing a working chip doesn't mean much at all. Nvidia showed working GP100 chips but we don't expect consumer versions any time soon.

However, the rumour is fairly lacking, just a lot of coincidences.

That is from the last showing of Polaris,a few weeks ago.

The left is Polaris 10 showing system power consumption at 127W and the right is Polaris 11 showing system power consumption at 79W.

I think it just shows how all of us just don't know what to expect with AMD with regards to launches anymore. There isn't that confidence people had with ATI.

That is why the AMD AIB partners are angry because it is a difficult marketing message and they have no halo products.
