Yes, it was stated by AMD months ago that Polaris has DP1.3

A lot can happen in months, DP 1.4 was just released, literally in march, is it impossible for AMD to change out the ports for 1.4?
How come we have loads of info on the new Nvidia cards and not the AMD cards even though the hype train and rumors have been churning for AMDs for ages?
Not long ago no one had the foggiest idea what Nvidia were doing, now there are confirmed model names and performance figures, where as AMD is supposed to be releasing before Nvidia and theres not a peep from them?
...Late again?...
It depends on how the new compression method works, The designs for P10 and P11 were already finalised last year since they have shown working silicon before the finalisation of DP1.4.
If the compression block is updatable with a firmware update then they could claim full DP1.4 without needing to change any hardware. If it means they need to change something in hardware then they will not update to DP 1.4 since it will mean that they need to respin the core design.

The thing is i doubt Pascal was only finalised after DP 1.4 release, IE April, literally weeks ago...
I don't think Polaris is any different in this rearguard to Pascal, Pascal has DP 1.4 because it was compatible, i don't see why the same would not be true for Polaris.

While the physical connection and raw bandwith are the same between DP1.3 and 1.4, 1.4 has a new compression method. And as i said it depends on if AMD's implementation can be upgraded via firmware since the hardware is already set. They have also Said DP 1.3 as the DP version for Polaris.
As i said. with 99.9% certainty Pascal hardware was set a few weeks ago, and yet Nvidia still managed to stick one on, i don't see why that would not be the case with Polaris.
There's been tons of rumors about Nvidia over the past few months. Many of them entirely correct. How come we have loads of info on the new Nvidia cards and not the AMD cards even though the hype train and rumors have been churning for AMDs for ages?

Looking more closely at all this it does seem like the rumours are true about Pascal being a version of Maxwell on 16nm and using brute force to overcome any deficiencies in DX12 or more importantly Async Compute. You will notice that nothing was mentioned about DX12 or Async Compute in Pascal on the show itself.
As Polaris 10 is a mid-tier card is there really any point in putting DP1.4 on them? To be honest I think Nvidia have only done it because it is a bit of one-upmanship and they can say yours is 1.3 ours goes up to 1.4 a la Spinal Tap.

I believe DP 1.4 will be included in Vega, but not Pascal as it will not be needed for that range of cards.
Bring on AMD Polaris and the benches for Nvidia. Lets get to the real nitty gritty

How much of a hardware difference is there between 1.3 and 1.4? From a quick search, both still have the same max bandwidth, but 1.4 offering better compression with a couple of extra features.
