If you are thinking about the 18th event, i heard more recent that it is just an investors event. And that Polaris wont be talked about much. it is also only an hour and half jobbie if i am remembering right.

R9 480X and R7 460 added to GPU-Z database.
Polaris 10 is R9 480X = Between R9 390 and 390X performance

I hope that isn't true, otherwise it is a bit tame. The 1080 only has a 180w tdp and is nearly twice the performance of the 390/390x.
Definitely best to just conveniently ignore things that dont fit your preconceived notions.I wouldn't believe anything TPU are saying at the moment.

Ha. Likewise.Well you believe what you want

So given current speculation will AMD have anything to combat the 1080, this year?
Vega was rumoured to be out sooner than later, But that is a higher end part than the 1080, so it depends on how well P10 performs in IPC and how well it clocks.
Depending on how things go, AMD might end up with a large performance gap between P10 and Vega.
There may be a cut down vega who knows.
Crazy
Crazy if you think you can't go Nvidia because of FreeSync, i love this screen, i can happily game on 144Hz without FreeSync, like i did before, like i said above, and i need to upgrade, as im only on a 4GB Fury, so Nvidias my only option, the 1080 smacks the Furys silly, its not even funny, and has more than 4GB vram, which just isn't enough, AMD is not an option for me, as they don't have an upgrade path.
Tbh Loads I'd sell one of the Fury's and wait for Vega, not like it's doing crap for you atm....
There will almost certainly be a cut down Vega, otherwise what would they do with the mildly defective cards? Bin them?

Yep that's what I would do and if things don't pan out then the 1080ti may be an option by then
