Just thought I'd encourage people to keep tweaking those memory timings and overclock the northbridge.
World in Conflict on very high details is one of those titles where, at first glance, the i7s trounce Phenom II. Minimum framerate on i7 is typically double that of a Phenom II.
But wait - in this rather old article - Tomshardware seems to have taken a Phenom II x3 710 and taken it to roughly i7 levels of performance by overclocking the northbridge and tweaking RAM timings.

There's a comparison article here for i7 performance. Resolution isn't the same but I suspect mimimum framerate will be similar as it's clearly CPU limited.

It's a shame we don't see more pro reviews of AMD chips clocking the northbridge. Surely AMD are missing a trick here? If those speeds are easy enough to attain on newer CPUs, why not put out a chip with a nb clock of say 2600MHz at stock?
