Well I got my first black screen on my 290 Tri-X.

Was watching a Youtube video & decided to open Gpu-Z.
Seen the little Gpu-Z badge pop up in the centre of my main monitor for 2 secs then it all went dark...
Could still hear the video playing but no signal on any of my 3 monitors.

Thankfully though it hasn't done it during gaming. Yet.
Probably because the card is running at stock clocks for now.

What temps & fan speed you getting under load?

Seem to be just breaking into the 70's with a custom fan profile in afterburner.

My office is at the top of the house so ambient temps are normally quite high to begin with.

Not 100% sure what the fan speed ramps up to but it just starts to become noticeable over my system fans - undervolted Gentle Typhoons and Silent Eagles... I like a quiet PC!

Will try to confirm fan speed this evening.

I'm on a 2600k overclocked to 4300. I'm guessing you'd be fine.

OK duno if this is the right place to say ...but I have swapped out my Green and gone Red ie got myself a nice XFX R9 290, and so far things seems good...well in BF4 anyway

...game runs smoother and looks very nice too

I am now the owner of a 290 card which is my first AMD card since the AGP days! so some quick questions if you dont mind

Should I be in quiet or uber mode to OC?
what is the max voltage I can use?
my card has hynix memory is that good?
