Changing the frame pacing method doesn't seem to have any effect.

You need to restart the game before the change takes effect i think. I think it might be a case of PEBKAC mate as its working ok for me, gpu usage pegged at 99% (or close to it - kept hitting 200 fps limit at 1080P) cpu at 3.9ghz underclocked.

I see what you mean about the silly high fps 175-200fps on TDM Dragon Pass. Didn't get to test the map you used as it changed as i joined. This was using Method 1.

Yep I've restarted the game several times.
I've been playing 64 player Conquest, maybe that's effecting it.

Yeah I loaded the test range up and get 200 fps, 99% usage.

Shouldn't make a difference. Your fps will be lower, but gpu usage should still be pegged at 99% or close to it. Looks like its still using method 2 to me. You can type it into the console yourself to change it i think, try that.

Here's mine:
Core i7 2600k @ 4.2GHz 1.31v hits around 60c during bench cores are on 60 to 100% utilization.

1150MHz
1400MHz
+63mv
+50% power
cat 14.3 betas

My card hits 94c so it starts throttling at this point. I'm pretty sure with better cooling I can push it much further...

MSI 290 Gaming edition

At stock it does:

1100MHz
1400MHz
+50% power

Does it matter if my 3d clocks are sticking when overclocking? They aren't going back to the 2d clocks which I believe is an issue from cat 14.1 to 14.3 and supposedly fixed in 14.4

Pretty good :) Similar to my bottom card.

I need to try Crysis 3 sometime. Last time I played it I just had a 680.

I tried that map you mentioned. I did see lower gpu usage than normal. (1080P) I think its something to do with the map as there was also some frame drops on that map only. Needs a dice patch i think. Usage was 99-85% varying. It was mostly above 90% though.

Yeah the usage for me never went above 90%, it was generally 50-80. Pretty strange.

Something about that map i think. I noticed some big stutters that don't occur on any other map. Might be worth turning frame pacing off completely on that map. Its a dice issue though i think as every other map behaves normally. Have to wait for the next patch.

Hey Guys,

This is Raymond from PowerColor, we were contacted before about performance issue with a small batch of cards. We have a bios update now that fixes the performance issue. To get the bios update, please email me with the EAN code, Serial Number and Model number. Basically all the sticker number on the back of the card. The bios will be released on a per case basis, so please do not release it publicly as it might damage other graphic card. You can email me directly at [email protected].

Best Regards,
Raymond

I'm pretty certain now mine is one of them.

Yes, not just in Firestrike, but a couple of other things my score are 5 to 10% lower than similar clocked 290's

Sniper Elite V2: ~41 FPS @ Stock. about 7% to low
Firestrike: 10300 @ stock. about 10% to low

Heaven 4 is about 1270 @ stock, thats actually about right.

When you say stock, do you mean your card's default clocks or 290 defaults clocks of 947/1250?

I think the problem is the individual core performance of your CPU, Heaven 4 is not realty effected by this and is just about having enough speed.

If you have got Tomb Raider it may be an idea to give that a run to compare or you could give Valley a run as well.
