AMD R9 290 (Non-X, Pro, etc) Owners Club

I moaned about this ages ago but has anyone else bumped into the problem of multi-GPU watercooling bridges blocking the BIOS switches? The EK bridge I have is ever so slightly too big. I can see the edge of the switch, 2mm or so shaved off the bridge would allow access.

No :)

I find Heaven 4 more stressful on my system with my CPU. in that i get 75c @ 50% Fan Speed, its about the same after an hour of BF4.

Powercolor PCS+ 290. (overclocked)

My 290 topped out at 87c with 53% fan speed, seems a little high?

What's your case/cooling setup like humbug? and how long ago was that test ran (I'm considering it was when the ambient was lower?) :)

87c at 53% Fan Speed does seem kinda high my card doesn't get that hot ever.. Even on 20%

Yeah, I'm just about to post in the CS forum as I turned all my case fans up to full speed and the temps topped out at 90c!

Only way to keep it around 76c is to have a very aggressive fan profile, which is way too noisy and no better than a reference 290! Something can't be right?

I've checked both fans are running ok, and I can't take of the cooler as that would void my warranty (has a sticker over the screws).

Do you guys think I should sort an RMA?

That sounds a bit extreme. I just know how anal you are GM. If you look up anal in the dictionary theres a picture of you eating a cornish pasty. :D

Here's a tip, don't be lazy and try looking it up on the internet...

Oh don't tell me that, after trying to decide between AquaComputer blocks and bridge and EK blocks and bridge I went with EK. Typical...

Although I can't imagine why I'd want to move the BIOS switch...
