Apparently my 3570k isn't enough for a 7990 so doubt a 2500k would be the best choice for 2 cards. Probably decent for one though.

We never used to think it would kill Titan. Then we had a glimmer of hope with the first Chinese benchmark. Then a couple of more leaks surfaced and it seemed like it really was built to kill Titan.
Now we're in the same old predicament of launch drivers.

I wonder if anyone is like me hoping that the 290X at launch is able to beat Titan with "crappy launch driver", and that we will get EVEN MORE performance with driver updates 6 months down the line like how we did with the 12.11 driver for the 7000 series cards?We never used to think it would kill Titan. I wish AMD would get there fingers out and publish some proper info/benches.
I am in serious need of new toys.
I did look at IB-E and the non ref GTX 780s but both did not live up to the pre launch hype.
That and gpu boost, inflating benchmark scores.
That's true. My 670s always start at a higher clock which drops after a few mins of gaming. The very low reference clocks didn't help AMD either.
I am overclocking these cards all the way upto 4 way and from Air to LN2 watch this space for full results including game testing.

Yes my 7970 had 8+6. My peasant scum 7950's have 6+6.
