Not sure as there's an NDA on that as well. Basically theres a continuous stream of NDA's so the release date will never be announced. One day it will just appear in stores, although even that is subject to an NDA currently.

Yeah, I did consider the 280X cards as well, though due to the 'possible' overclocking headroom the matrix has, I decided to go for that instead. God, I hope I don't regret getting an Asus card, lol.

I don't think you will. The matrix Plats are premium 7970's. Almost guaranteed to get 1200 core minimum.

The smaller green benches don't come with hardware frame pacing. That's reserved for the dual bench with is currently EOL.

I just had a look through the AND Presentation and there's nothing in there about October 15th.

Makes no diff to me, they wrote it down on something they intended to distribute. So a delay has in fact occurred, but they think they can get away with it by lumping NDAs on top of each other.

We should have had a solid date a month ago.

At this rate the 290x is going to have a very short shelf life if Nvidia release Maxwell/20nm by the middle of 2014 as rumoured....

£500-£600 is a lot of money for something that will almost definitely be obsolete from anywhere between 6 to 12 months time.

40% fan speed. From memory of the stock cooler the fan starts to get noticeable past 50% and loud past 60%.
