AMD Radeon R9 295X2 Owners Thread

The question was Idle temps. So my idle tems are 32 & 32 @ 80% fan speed.

Full load is 72C & 67C while running Valley atm. (80% fan speed the Piranha still)

I saw the question and I thought hold on thought it was about idle temps, but you mentioned 80% my brain went full fail and assumed load. Sorry.

Well currently for me according to afterburner at least GPU 1 is at 32 degree's, GPU 2 is at 0 degree's. Not sure what my fan speed is at the moment because it seems the new Afterburner 4.0 doesn't have the fan control settings unless they've hidden them somewhere I can't find.

Well if its normal to idle around 30-32c I Am guessing something is wrong since I am at 49-50c.

*Does having ULPS disabled make it run hotter?

(also could having a SP pushing in the rad and a AF pulling be affecting the airflow negatively? The SP is plugged into the card and the AF into my powersupply)

Oh yeah I know that, I did some checking into that yesterday. But i've got it on atm for power saving currently.
Was more wondering where the hell in this version of AB my fan control had disappeared too, might have to revert.

We cannot manually control the fan on the 295X2.

The fan control is throttling based on the temperature of the coolant it seems, according to various sites they did a review on the card.

Ah ok, was wondering if we could control it or not. Shame that leaves that section in AB blank for me so I can't even see the speed of the fan. Checked through the list and they show 0 as well. Cheers for letting me know.

hi all well i got my r9 295 today with the asus pb278q monitor. All installed easily enough and the gpu temps are fine and dandy. The problem is for sum reason in bf4 and wow I can click on anything with my mouse. The cursor moves but nothing happens. Also there is a hell of a lot of screen ripping in BF4.

Any ideas whats going on? I have it connected with the the mini port display. When i used the dvi it would only goto 1080p?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

also i am only running at 30hz. there is no option for 60 at the 3840x2160 settings any ideas what have done wrong??

So yes it turns out we can basically take 75mv off the core on these cards lol for super cool temps and still run them close to 1100mhz.....................the ram on them basically overclocks to the limit. I've tested it on mine too this batch of 100 cards must be like a golden batch. These have for sure been binned from the finest 290X chips.

Hahah :D

Soon will run this dual GPU beast with almost no power
What are your settings at the moment?

Right, thanks to MSI Afterburner 4.0 I've figured out why my Unigine Heaven 4.0 benchmark is down on other peoples.

GPU 1 is fine, it's topping out at 69 or 70C under load.
GPU 2 is getting to 74C and then throttling down to 930Mhz!

What can I do about this? Do you think there is something in the case making one part of the card hotter than the other? It's not good.
