AMD Radeon R9 295X2 Owners Thread

SuperFlower all the way.

Had a 750W, 1000W, 1300W and now a 2000W SuperFlower unit and all have been flawless. No coil whine, no issues at all. Wonderful power supplies.

EDIT

And mine have all done round 300W+ over their rated specs too. :)

Platinum bought. This dank 295x2 better be worth it. And because I'm cheeses off while I was at it bought an additional 290x... Why the he'll not.

The RM850 should be okay ... just got a watt meter today, was pulling ~680W tops in BF4 at 2560x1440 (Mantle, Vsync off) with 5820K @ 4.5 and the 295X2 at stock.

Impressive!

Have you experimented with undervolting the 295x2? As a rough guide I'd imagine most will do -0.050v, perhaps even lower if you get a really good one.

Thanks :) That's the same setup as me, though my 5820k is at 4.2Ghz. Should be no problems then.

I used to, but whatever I do I can't get the voltage setting to unlock anymore. Even wiped and reinstalled AB and its settings, no dice.

Even using these settings?

Afraid so ...

Well. Tested my mates 6970 and blow me it didn't work and reboots exactly the same... So literally took my whole pc apart which has took a couple of hours. Reset all, cleaned everything put it all back together. Didn't work so... Tried to use my mates Corsair 1000w but for some reason it was playing up. So anyway... Think the only thing I can think now is psu is on way out. Weird as its powering everything up ok... Anyone else had a problem with psu but it boots to bios etc but no further? I would've thought it'd have just failed 100%???

Anyone reccomend a top 1200w+ minimum psu? Want full modular powerful enough to run system below plus two 295x2's if I go that way.

How did you get to the conclusion its a psu ? I don't want to jinx anything but to me this would not be a psu issue, as far as the pc turns on and spins all the fans its powering the whole system....I would be pointing at rams>mobo>drives in this order, seating one ram at a time in different slots, unplugging the drives and plugging somewhere else running hd sentinel to check the health of them...
