AMD RADEON RX 470 SERIES NOW AVAILABLE FROM £164.99 DELIVERED!!

I saw a couple reviews have it.

Either way, why on earth is that pathetic? WTF? Since when has it become mandatory that certain games be included in a review?

Absolutely bizarre mentality.

Oh come off it. It's one of the best games of the year. Even Gregster would see that the reviewers are being told not to include it because it would make Nvidia look less favourable.
If you can't see that this is what's going on you're in denial.

What is bizarre is that is is one of the latest games and it not been benched.
Huh? Not only has it been benched in several reviews, what does it matter if it's one of the latest games? These reviews dont always include *every* recent AAA release, which is fine. The more the merrier, but to say it is 'pathetic' if one game is left out is beyond asinine.

I swear people will come up with anything to complain about these days.

Personally i am of the opinion that review suites should be constantly updated to include the latest and greatest. Doom is also the only real Vulkan game out atm so it's another good reason to include it. Most game suites are full of gameworks so it would balance things out a little.

Cool story. A game which would show a card, being reviewed of all things, shining, is ok.
Yeah Il come out and say it. I don't care how much stick I get on here. Its true that yes it is Nvidia asking/paying whatever for these sites not to include it. Somehow batman, assasins creed, battlefield 3 never fail to show up.

Reviews are to show the latest games but maybe lets put games in that are 2/3 years old that show Nvidia in a better light.
Reviews are not just to show the very latest games. They tend to pick a selection of popular, modern games that push the hardware decently enough. Not every single one will get benched in every single review. The bit-tech one I'm reading right now doesn't have Far Cry Primal!!!! Obviously a conspiracy, right!?

Do you not see that there is actually a disproportionate number of DX12 titles in just about every review compared to DX11 when compared to how many DX12 titles are there in the wild versus DX11 games? I constantly see Ashes of the Singularity in just about every bench even though nobody gives a damn about playing that game. You'd think *these* would be the games that Nvidia would be wanting to leave off if they actually had any say in this.

Seriously, this is some of the most laughable examples of paranoia I've seen in a while. I literally cannot believe you guys are serious about this.

No man, ** removed ** you invent laughable conspiracy theories just because your favorite brand isn't being given every favorable example you want it to. There's plenty of games in all these reviews to get a decent grasp on the performance on offer man. Hiding one game isn't going to provide some meaningful swing in perception, especially not when they're still using games like Hitman and Ashes of the Singularity in pretty much every single one. Maybe AMD are paying the reviewers to constantly use these? Or maybe the reviewers simply pick a variety of games and inevitably dont get around to each and every one.

Either way, it IS in some reviews, so no conspiracy. You can drop it.

This guy is having a laugh right?
You're making up nutjob conspiracy theories and are going around saying it is fact and I'm the one having a laugh?

You've lost the plot man. You really have.

And yea, having BF3 on a review is a bit late to the party, I admit. I dont know why that would be Nvidia's doing, though? DICE have historically been associated with AMD parternship after all.

Isn't a review there to show a card in its best light as well as its pitfalls?

Battlefield 3 (yes you techpowerup) is 5 years old!

I quit like Techpowerup due to the number of games they test but they do need to replace some of there older games. There most annoying section is the overclocking part where they use BF3 to judge the gains. Surely they would be better off using a newer game as a measurement.

Actually if we take the 480 as an example and take all the reviews that didn't use Doom or that used Doom open GL ( that's actually another point to support my wacky theory) then the 480 would have gained another 3 or 4% across the board, making them virtually equals.

I might actually do the maths and replace battlefield 3 with Doom Vulkan and see how it changes. You'd be surprised man.

Why did IGN only give it 7.1?

The same site that furiously masturbates over just about every cod release. I think most people tend to take their reviews with a Mountain of salt.

The 480, believe it or not, is being billed - by AMD - as a 1440p card.

From what ive seen its billed for vr and 1080 res, 1080 seems to be the sweet spot for it as 1440 is where settings have to be turned down quite a bit.

Dude, it's well known to anybody who understands this stuff that there will be minor swings here and there depending on the selection of games chosen. Nothing significant though, so long as ALL the chosen games aren't clearly cherry-picked to favor one side as a whole. 3-4% difference overall is well within the margin of balanced sample bias.

You're getting way too invested in this anyways.

No man, you're just so far lost in your fanboyism that you invent laughable conspiracy theories just because your favorite brand isn't being given every favorable example you want it to. Why have I lost the plot. If I was the manager of that company I can't think of a single reason not to include Doom but include battlefield 3, other than to make the card in question look worse than it is.
E.g Anandtech even have an article admitting that Nvidia probed them only to use gtx460 overclocked cards against reference AMD whatsoever so it would look faster.

Not saying AMD are 100% innocent either but they don't have the coin to do it to the same extent.
In other words these gpu companies are not your friend, they want your money, and play dirty to get it.

Enough with the fanboy rubbish. I think you're in the minority opinion here.
Two people have disagreed with me....that's it.

And since when does holding a minority opinion have a bearing on the truth?

Answer why you think Arkham Knight, AC Syndicate, Star Wars Battlefront were left off so many reviews man.

Why wasn't the Talos Principle benchmarked damn it. Why are the reviewers so biased and corrupt that they accept money from AMD to withhold the truth!!!!!!

Nope techpowerup has batman and AC because they perform great on nvidia. Star Wars isn't there though, it perform too good on AMD to be left in.
