Contrary to some earlier reports, ComputerBase now confirms that some AMD board partners will be ready with their custom RX7900 series designs at release time on the 13th December.

Lol humbug trying so hard to defend AMD. Bro, both companies are ****, stop trying to make excuses for any of em, makes you look like a corporate puppet, super cringe.
Should hope so, AMD taking the right **** being so late to launch!Contrary to some earlier reports, ComputerBase now confirms that some AMD board partners will be ready with their custom RX7900 series designs at release time on the 13th December.
I know.Your problem is you are doing the "both as bad as each other" routine and it is not a simple binary choice. There is a reason so many companies like Sony, Microsoft, Tesla, EVGA all end up not doing business with Nvidia.
So I prefer AMD, not because they are some paragons of virtue, but because they are a lot less ***** than Nvidia.
So AMD make choices that make me think "*****", Nvidia make me feel like I've just been dry humped and should be thankful for it.
I know.
Point is there is no defending any. We’re only walking wallets to them. Just keep as impartial as you can (general you not you specifically). Some people however can’t manage that and always seem to root for the ‘underdog’ and jump to their rescue every time.
Let's hope AMD come out and surprise us - then we can go back to rooting for Jensen (poor guy's been under so much pressure lately..)Some people however can’t manage that and always seem to root for the ‘underdog’ and jump to their rescue every time.

How about,
My partner having an affair with one person = Meh
My partner having an affair with two people = very very bad
I love the logic of one bad thing is acceptable over another as it is not quite as bad.

See, absolutely nowhere have I (or anyone else that I can see) stated what AMD are doing is acceptable. Therein lies your logic failure.
Some are bad and some are more bad?
You prefer AMD as they are not as bad as Nvidia?
All your words, you try to justify liking one more than the other as it is not as bad.
I will leave it there as we will go round in circles and go further off topic.
As frustrating as it is having to wait it's probably for the better, AMD doesn't want another Vega Frontier Edition launch on it's hands (buggy drivers, disabled features etc) given how hard they have worked since then to fix their reputation.Should hope so, AMD taking the right **** being so late to launch!
You can't calculate that and come to that conclusion, i mean go on try... i'd love to see you do it. It would be an interesting conversation if nothing else.Yes you can make a profit on each sale whilst losing money as a company, but there is no way you can look at the numbers of either company and say they are losing money on GPU's as both companies are making a profit even on lower turnover.
Nvidia have also managed to incur additional cost by overproducing 3 series cards, that cost is already in those numbers whilst they've not realised the turnover from those cards/cores yet. So they could actually afford to write the whole lot off and the cost has already been accounted for and they've still made a profit, so yes they can afford to drop prices.
ive seen several posts at least on these forums suporting amd for its 1k pricing despite it being a massive price hike just because it wasnt as bad as nvidias price rape, and no i wont go search pages and pages for the commentsSee, absolutely nowhere have I (or anyone else that I can see) stated what AMD are doing is acceptable. Nvidia users in AMD threads screaming AMD are too expensive and bad people for overcharging.I wouldn't say ICDP is defending AMD by saying they are bad but not as bad as Nvidia. Both companies have basically done the same thing this gen, bumped lower products up a tier and also increased prices. The key difference is than Nvidia have done this by a greater amount. I'm not defending AMD for doing this nor do I think it is acceptable but you can't deny that in the example alone they are the lesser of two evils.
