Judging by all the reviews I've seen, it makes no sense to buy XT - XTX is the only way to go, as speed improvements are considerably bigger than price difference suggest.£899... Bye bye nvidia

One of the reasons I was initially unwilling to pay for RTX 4090 but then I calculated bills, trying to predict heating cost etc. and figured out that as outrageous as that GPU cost, it's really nothing comparing to electricity bills for heating and other expenses. And so I got it - one small pleasure in this dystopian times we live in now.I legit looked at my energy bill last night, if this weather continues and i keep my coldest room at 16deg my monthly bill will be £500. Absolutely unacceptable.
I don't know if it is still the case but it was said that their after sales support was terrible and so OcUK dropped them.out of interest - why are stockist of XFX so limited in the UK? Only see a handful of retailers selling them
Damn, i'm on a G9. Space heater here we come

Nice thinking!Judging by the the price sliders, I'm guessing the Sapphire Nitro+ card is nearing £1300
It's 13:46 and no button yet
Yeah let's give retailers grief for profit margins instead of Gpu manufacturers and their likely 60% +markup lol.Really don’t know why some are complaining about pricing. It’s fair and thank you Gibbo for even providing/sharing some inside info.
Do we want OC to be out of business, that is what they’re at the end of the day… they have bills to pay.
Just don’t buy it if you don’t like the price.
AMD tend to be very good at this, though in fairness these issues should not be present AMD drivers are vastly improved on the past and I am quite excited about where the 7900 cards will perform in a few months time.
Rubish, helping people out lol, you are charging MSRP for the XT because its trash tier value, meanwhile gouging the XTX because its the only card sane purchasers around the 1k mark are going to clearly reach for, anyone spending $900 is obviously going to be dumb not to spend $999 on the XTX, its gouging and you know it. If it was not going to be possible to make a profit at MSRP you would not buy the damn product in the first place, bad buisiness, also the pound is much stronger right now, so really just another way to gouge even further. Its dispicable, when this company got sold off it went down the toilet, run by a bunch PR salesmen and suits, pretty much following the rest of the PC industry, being killed off by GPU makers, scalpers and gouging retailers. Were making 5% margin, how is that price gouging? Our cost is $986 excluding shipping, I am sorry but I am not doing all this work, having and entire company working their backsides off to make no money on a brand new product.
At the MSRP it is to put it bluntly what they cost us or even a slight loss, something I am unwilling to do. Were making like 4% on the XT but have done it to try and help customers out, once we pay our rent, wages and other associated company cost were pretty much making nothing on the XT as well.
It is not gouging!
The sensible thing would have been for AMD to delay the launch a month. Allow the driver teams time to fix all the launch bugs, power draw etc. The reviews would have been much better, customers would have IMO been happier.
Brave folks effectively paying to be a beta tester for AMD - it shouldn't be this way.
No doubt some genius at AMD insisted these are available before Christmas, no matter if it damages AMD's long term reputation/mindshare.
