***** AMD RX 7900 SERIES AVAILABLE & IN STOCK TODAY FROM 2PM ****(BACK ORDER UPDATES WITHIN THIS THREAD)*

Is the XT at £899 a good price? That's not a dig, I've just been head down focused on the XTX info and negated the XT lol.

The sensible thing would have been for AMD to delay the launch a month. Allow the driver teams time to fix all the launch bugs, power draw etc. The reviews would have been much better, customers would have IMO been happier.

Brave folks effectively paying to be a beta tester for AMD - it shouldn't be this way.

No doubt some genius at AMD insisted these are available before Christmas, no matter if it damages AMD's long term reputation/mindshare.
It's always for Christmas and also, frankly speaking, there will always be bugs in software that you will never catch till it's live and lots of people test them on lots of different configurations.

I would just like to say thanks @Gibbo for things like
  • Publicly interacting with customers.
  • Allowing criticism.
  • Being willing to put numbers on things like margins.
  • Explicitly allowing returns for coil whine.
  • Supplying Harribo to everyone. EVERYONE.
It's why I keep buying stuff from here, even for things that can be found cheaper elsewhere.

And miss Christmas!!!!

In fairness for me half the fun is getting to play and tweak new hardware, finding issues and then fixing them and getting big performance boost with driver updates, starts to make the purchase feel less guilty. :D
I always had fun with AMD cards, though the past 2 gens do not seem to like my PC that much and the moment it stops me actually working, it's bad. But that aside, always liked how AMD drivers improve over time, with big speeds up etc. NVIDIA fixes some bugs, but their drivers are mostly boring - I remember only one actual speed up (quite recently), but that was it.
