***** AMD RX 7900 SERIES AVAILABLE & IN STOCK TODAY FROM 2PM ****(BACK ORDER UPDATES WITHIN THIS THREAD)*

To be fair I think only OcUK offered such incredible volumes of XTX stock and at very fair price. The competitor in question has or had Asus which Asus had like 20 units for U.K. and each reseller got like 5 units each. Our 5 units lasted like 5s lol.

OcUK had more XTX than anywhere else in U.K./Europe, maybe even worldwide thanks to Sapphire for supporting us so well.

Though in fairness to OcUK we still have Sapphire XT in stock and at £899 whereas nearly every competitor has charged £20-50 more for same cards.

We have around 100 of those left now and selling really well.

So essentially OcUK has delivered the most volume but also at the best prices! :)
Any idea when you'll be getting the Sapphire 7900xtx in again or any other? I rang up today for an RMA as even in default my card is hitting 110 degree hotspot and max 2900rpm fan speed.
Was told refund was my only option as no eta on replacements.

Will be a good month before we take more orders I suspect.

I’m not 100% sure but is hotspot not VRM temp? In which case they are designed to operate upto 120-130c?

Was the card crashing or artifscting and what was GPU temp ?

Hi mate,
Yeah in benchmarks or games the gpu temps start OK, both around the same temp 30ish and fan at 0.

The temp continues to rise along with the fan speed (normal)
Within a min the gpu temp levels out at 60/70 degrees ish.

The hotspot and fan speed continues to climb until it hits 110degrees, and fan speed hits max around 2900rpm. (I'm getting like a 40 degree difference in gpu and hotspot temp)

the frame rate becomes erratic once the gpu fans max / hotspot maxes
In warzone 2.0 The 180/190 fps max, drops by about 30fps or so and dances around 150/160fps.. With the fans blasting full.
(my trio 6950xt was getting around 130fps with the same settings)

I've undervolted to 1080 (-0.70 mv) set the max clock speed from the default 3050 down to 2600mhz, it takes a bit longer to reach max fan speed and 110 degrees but still happens.

No crashes/artifacts.. only when I'm undervolting to bring the temps down.. GPU just throttles the framerate /clockspeeds due to temp saturation on the hotspot.

Case is a meshify C, 3 fans at the front blowing in, 360mm AIO taking heat out the top and fan at the back, does the same with case open.
I've reinstalled windows fresh just to make sure it's not a conflict driver, but no difference. Re seated the gpu, looked around it for anything untoward and cannot see any problems.

Had a look around forums and doesn't seem to be the norm with other reference models.

Not going to attempt to repaste it as OcUK will void the warranty?

Maybe this will soften the blow for people who missed out?
He paid with amazon lol.

Commented on his video.
He has secured a Red Devil XT card but as he lives in Ireland he ordered to late on Friday and missed DHL collection cut off, those guys probably don't work weekends, so it won't ship until Monday.
We are also getting more XTX MBA in stock for the over sold orders. :)

Still eventually does the same 110 hotspot.

Yeah sounds like its not got the cooler sat properly, totally not your problem so just return it for a refund.

Cheers, he's not got much hair left to pull out so this should put this mind at rest.

As someone who works in Logistics and use a similar setup to you. DPD for UK wide deliveries and we use Transglobal for our oversees, a lot of people don't understand how overseas shipments work, how long they take etc. Cut off time is normally either 11am or 12am to book overseas shipments and depending on the carrier even then you may not.

It also sounds like your system works similar to ours, we set something to dispatch on our systems which sends out an email to say it's shipped, but you don't set it to shipped until you actually ship it.

I feel the pain you are going through when you see videos like this of people that just don't understand (through no fault of their own of course) but there's a lot more complexity than people expect.

Thank you for your understanding.

Just took delivery of my 7900XT, coming from using an RX580 to a much needed upgrade, I was surprised on the quality of the build. Looking forward to using it very soon. Thanks to Gibbo and the team working over the past several days to get these cards out to customers, always appreciated.
