Whilst I agree you have to take all of these TY leaks with huge pinchs of salt these leaks have been very accurate for the past couple of generation.

Here is a 4K RT set of games showcased. Seems the 4090 is at least 25% faster in all scenarios which means the 7900xtx actually has very decent RT performance... if true, will find out for sure when reputable reviewers release their results.

The RT performance in cyberpunk is virtually the same as a 4080. That is a huge win for AMD if true.

It should be remembered that RT performance does still rely on the raster performance. So 7900 XTX could basically be utilising the extra raster performance to make up some or all of the defecit.

All most people care about is that a card priced lower than a 4080 is matching it in RT performance and beating it in raster. Who cares how it does it?

Yes, just trying to head off any expectations that the 4080 is going to be some RT monster that beats the 7900 XTX by 30% on average.

Tomorrow at 2pm for orders. Today is the reviews.

I do miss the fact we used to get a day or two to digest reviews before the cards were available to purchase. Releasing a GPU at the same time as reviews means making an informed decision is the same as not getting one.

I know a guy who ordered 3x 4090s from three different retailers because he was convinced they would all sell out. His plan was to refund/cancel the inevitable sold out ones, or even scalp the other two. In the end he had to scramble to cancel two of them because there was plenty of stock.
