AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3D Cache Eight Core 4.5GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail - Go Go Go xD

OK, initially things seems fine with the -30 under volt.

I gamed about an hour, I run cinebench 23 multi and single and then left it idle for about 30 mins and didn't get any problems.

Not a very robust testing methodology but its a good start.

Lets hope I get lucky for once and it can run like this with no problems.

No it isn't the best test is it haha but like you say, It's a start.
See how you get on in the coming days/weeks.

whats wrong with 75c ? its perfectly fine I get 80c while running CB23 with Z73 360mm kombo at level 3 , games will run lower so wouldnt worry about it
I side graded from a 5800X that maxed out at ~ 65c, so was expecting something closer to that.

It is only benchmark temp and realise it will be lower in games.

Set it the day I got it and still to find a reason why it may be unstable. Thats hours and hours of gaming with general work loads thrown in.
Left it idle for days on end too with no issue.

and me, mines coming today. I'm also going from a 5800X to 5800X3D. Supposed to make a big difference in iRacing.

Urgh, just means I have to clean off and reapply thermal compound.
How are you finding the upgrade? I've noticed a massive difference with GPU utilization and certainly less stutter. The biggest difference I've seen is in TLOU. On the 5600 I was dropping to 45fps on the opening street sequence.
Now it's at the very least hitting 60+.

I've not had much time to use it over the past few days. I've been modding my rig to fit a HOTAS on, so plenty of drilling through metal and going back and forth to b&q for various sized bolts lol

I did play a few races in iracing though, and not once did it judder. The 5800X used to have a slight hiccup once a lap, but with the 3D it's perfectly smooth.

There shouldn’t be a difference in speed. If you have a drop in performance you have set it too high. The off set should make it run cooler and faster. Not slower

What I meant was increasing the curve from -30 to -20 didn't seem to result in too much of a loss on the boost clocks I was seeing.

Saying that I am going to try -25 first.
