Just got this CPU installed, impressed so far, good upgrade over the R5 3600 and has been ruining fine so far with my memory OC.

So far load temps don't seem to bad, may play around with under-volt later.

Interesting, I have an X570 (MSI MEG Unify) motherboard and its now on the latest AGESA 1.2.0.7 BIOS.
It'll be interesting if anyone can undervolt this in PBO2Tuner, which also BCLK overclocking it.

Can everyone run stable RAM clocks and CL timings with their 5800X3D? I currently have a 5800X with 2 x 16GB 3600Mhz C16 RAM running at 3800C14. I was looking to do a slight upgrade from 5800X to 5800X3D for gaming and sell off my 5800X to part fund it.

I’ve got 4 sticks of Samsung b die which are 3600 c16 which I can run at 3733 c16 I suspect if I just had 2 sticks I could go much more aggressively. AMD have banned motherboard overclockering so it’s pbo tuner to undervolt. To be honest I suspect because I have 4 sticks of ram my motherboard game me the finger when it came to bclk overclocking. I know ltmatt has had some success.

I believe someone said around 8% on average better performance. I think it mainly shines in the 1% lows for a higher resolution.

The 1% low increases at higher res (1440 ultrawide) interested me. I did place an order when it was in stock but then went out of stock so cancelled. Screw (Ocuks competitor)

The 5800X3D was going to be swapped for my 5800X. Mainly for a hopefully reasonable bump to 1% or 5% lows in gaming

Just spec'd a build with one and it was £410 in a bundle with decent Gigabyte B550 board. So there are offers popping up every day it seems. Also bagged a mis-priced 32GB DDR4 3200MT/s kit for £68, so great base for the build.
User has a 1440p UW and plays lots of SIM type games and strategy, so should be a good fit.

3080 at 3440x1440 and the 1 and 0.1% improvement is very nice especially in CPU heavy games like Spiderman and bf 2042.

Defo worth it over the normal 5800x especially if you're getting a next gen gpu

I think if I get a 5800X3D it would likely do me for another GPU upgrade from my current 3080 then I may consider jumping to AM5 or intels equivalent at the time.

Im gaming on a BenQ EX3501R Ultra Wide, 100hz 3440x1440, but have my desktop mode set to 5k2k, Pretty amazing monitor really, pretty amazing chip too, on an ASRock Phantom Gaming D RX 6800.

Benched a few games I had installed on Steam and seems decent over my 5800X.

Cyberpunk + 13FPS
Hitman 3 + 15FPS
FC6 + 24FPS
All maxed out at 4K with a mild OC on my 4090.
Also managed +249 points on 3Dmark Speedway.
I've no idea if those scores are where thay should be, but i'm a happy chap

I don't have 5800x3d but was just curious.... Isn't it worth doing a negative offset on the motherboard rather than doing a software run service? I guess the software can allow you to tweak each core rather than a flat setting?
