That £519 is just inflated due to current stock levels, expecting it to drop back to previous levels once stock issues are at hand.WOW £519 for the 8 core 9800X3D
How much is the 16 core 9850X3D going cost![]()

Some people just have the money to splash out, it is the best for gaming.I just watched Linus videos on this CPU and wont you just get GPU bottlenecked with this anyway for gaming? You hardly get any performance boot is real life scenarios compared to a much cheaper 9700X
I really no understand people that want to pay over the top
I think the problem these days there far to many people out there that has more money then they know what to do with
Not everyone is buying PCs/CPUs for gaming. Met an ex-colleague recently who's now at a small tech startup who needed to buy some powerful PCs for running CAD/simulation software. Said they'd ordered from a UK PC company (not OC) and they had to persuade the salesperson that the really did mean to order some of their top-spec "gaming PCs" but without GPUs.I really no understand people that want to pay over the top

You just confirmed i was rightBecause when you are spending a couple of thousand on a new PC, who cares about £50?

Because it's objectively the best gaming CPU right now, and it came at a time when the rest of the Zen 5 lineup and Arrow Lake was disappointing. But it kinda runs deeper than that. Why is everyone even buying the 9800x3D? It's not the only CPU, yet the way people talk about it, you'd think it is.
