Similar and take it for....whatever it's worth. Jayz comment on his Intel Ultra review vid seemed positive as he said the 9800X3D was going to make the benchmark charts he was showing "look very small" when it goes live.

I'm expecting great performance just have to consider if it's enough over the 9700x given its around £300.

Day before launch and radio silence. I think they will list it for sure, but stock isn't looking likely IMO.

Just spoke to the other place and they will have stock for tomorrow. Couldn't confirm a price or listing time though. Hopefully OCUK will comment soon, as would rather give them my money.

I did speak to OCUK sales and they said they had quite allot on "order", would not tell me when and how much though.

Talk about down to the wire, they must be sweating lol. It's probably down to AMD how hot these are landing TBF.

priority would be to update the GPU first (5090 maybe), so depending on benchmarks, pricing etc, i may purchase both at the same time... but feel the 7800X3D is enough for what i need it for, for the moment

I suppose if you sold for £300 and you redeemed the games it wouldn't be too bad of an upgrade TBH.

you're an Edge case but for high fps gaming at non 4k - no brainer 9800x3d - if gaming at 4k you might aswell buy a 7700x used for like £150..... same fps for - £150.... by that logic

I wonder how 4k gaming is effected by DLSS?

Also I am getting a 5090, so many just stick with this.

As you turn down settings at 4K, you may make bigger gains with the 9800X3D.

All signs so far is that OCUK won't have them for launch, it will be a pre order, unless something changes.

Even with duel 3d cache there would still be a latency delay between cdus. If it's for purely gaming, this is the one to get IMO.

I have seen nothing that confirms this. SO far it appears to be a noprmal AMD launch, Reviews day before release and product will appear for sale the next day with stock. No signs of anything different that i can see.

Nothing from reps here. And someone asked yesterday and OCUK were saying it would *likely* be pre orders only.

The competition have confirmed day 1 stock this morning. Unfortunate for OCUK, but likely out of their hands. If something changes I'm sure someone will pop in this thread or the new arrivals one.

I'm really torn between a 9700x and a 9800x3D for Native 4k (to be paired with a 5090) coming from a 7600x. Got a 420 AIO, so should be able to boost pretty high with either.

I want to see more reviews where the CPU is held back by a huge GPU bottleneck at 4k. The bigger the bottleneck the better so every CPU performs the same.

But the fact every cpu performs the same, but the price can vary wildly, is really important real world information. It could save someone spending hundreds more than they need to. Not everyone is as well informed as enthusiasts.

The main competitor confirmed to me and another person day 1 stock for tomorrow. That's all I can say of course
