It will prbably be more dependant on the CPU, I am hoping my 7800X3D does the job :)
This is what the Fallout 4 CPU ranking looks like:

66/91 for me.

That was with stock 3200MT/s RAM, since then i have it running at 3800MT/s, do you think that will make a difference?

I'm still playing it....

Its not as bad as people think it is, Very High 1440P my performance on that 2070S is perfectly reasonable, its smooth, its only on and over the 4 main planets that my frame rates fall under 30 and its laggy, its the volumetric clouds that wrap around the entire planet, if i turn them off its fine. a lot like the early days of MS Flight Sim.
They have acknowledged the performance and some of the speckled extreme distance visuals and are working on volumetric clouds V2.

But honestly considering how photo realistic and detailed Star Citizen is it runs amazingly well on my old midrange GPU.

I miss Star Citizen, Had my account stolen at the beginning of this year, No clue how I never shared the login details. Went to login after a 6 month'ish hiatus and my details weren't recognized. Contacted customer support and they basically said everything looks fine on their end to them and closed my ticket... so yeah I was $$$$ out of luck and my 300i and 400i are now gone, Was also slowly saving up for when the 600i goes eventually back on sale but now I'm not so keen to go back. Sucks major hoop :(

 That account will have ended up on the grey market. https://www.reddit.com/r/Starcitizen_trades/

Jezz man i'm sorry :( get a £45 RSI Aurora game package and start over slowly, you can buy ships in game with in game earnings anyway.

Oh, and 2 factor authentication on your account.

Yeah I didn't have 2FA on it which was very stupid of me.

Maybe eventually I'll get back into it but I don't fancy investing again anytime soon even though I'd love to fly around again.

With Fallout 4 it will.

Thanks, might do another run then...

Well, to scratch that itch; Free-Fly event currently on going. wont cost you a penny.

So, just as I said new drama will emerge soon, here we are already. I wonder how people will react to actually anti consumer behaviour in such example (yes, rumour at the moment but already more whistleblower stuff than in case of this thread): https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-...-may-work-with-intel-on-the-battlemage-series

Nvidia has been known to do such things for many years now, which makes it much more believable.

Its already a thing.

The Nvidia GeForce Partner Program (GPP) was an initiative introduced by Nvidia in early 2018. The program aimed to establish closer relationships between Nvidia and its hardware partners to promote Nvidia’s GeForce brand and technologies. However, it faced controversy and was eventually canceled.

The controversy surrounding the GeForce Partner Program arose from concerns that it could potentially limit competition by forcing partners to exclusively align with Nvidia and not offer competing products, such as AMD Radeon GPUs. Critics argued that this could lead to reduced consumer choice and potentially anti-competitive behavior.

I don't this it is cancelled, Nvidia never cancel things like this, but GPP has effectively failed at this point, there was a point where you couldn't get AMD cards with the high end partner branding or coolers.

That nails it. Drama. Drama = hits, = views = money.

Kids today absolutely love a bit of drama. Mostly because unlike my era they have nothing real to worry about. 70s and 80s? my mum struggled TF. We had real problems to worry about, not if Jen had picked his nose and wiped it on the AMD stand at Computex.

Problem is the "influencers" (God that term disgusts me) all know what the kids now want. As such? they are obliging.

I had a bit of a ding dong with some bloke the other day about VRAM in TLOU, and how not having enough (and them having to compress it, ruining their vision of a great remaster) was bad. Some guy said that it wasn't the hardware at fault it was the game. I said "Look mate, back when I was a bit younger Crysis came out. No one but no one could run it at a good frame rate. We just weren't stupid enough to blame it on the GPU". These days? the entitlement level is so high that when it ate a 1060 for breakfast everyone panned the game.

But the reality is? the game is a masterpiece. Sadly it's less of a masterpiece with compressed textures, but who was to blame? Begins with N and ends in Vidia.

I agree with you on the qulity of jurno's these days and i also hate them calling themselves "Influencers" its like they narcissistically think of themselves as some expert advisory organisation when the reality is few of them have the first idea what they are talking about.

The rest of it.... Look mate, we have had $300 8GB midrange cards since 2015, my cheap phone has 8GB of RAM, that's not good in 2023 when games are supposed to have evolved massively since then.

Jobs would be proud.

This is Apple cult like crazy because these people are basically saying: "we are all so sinful and are holding it wrong".

Or that the true faithful buy 24GB 4090s.

I never really gave it much thought over the years but yeah, you are bang on there.
It was great news for Sapphire and forced Powercolor to up their game.
Can't think of any Gigabyte, Asus or EVGA branded AMD cards outside of the reference cards but I'm closer to 50 than I am 40 now though. :D

I could happily drop all "influencers" into an active volcano and I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep.

There was an "influencer" bimbo that came into 1 of the places I work at a bit back, Absolutely no clue who she was, Wanting to setup a camera station, Lighting, Sound gear etc... it's a privately owned gym. Of course without asking permission if she could do that... the owner went over and said "Nope, Get out." I'm guessing she wasn't used to not getting her own way as she said "I'm an influencer" and the boss cut her off mid sentence and said "You're talentless bull$$$$, Get out" it was truly a beautiful moment :D

Currently MSI is avoiding any other range on AMD cards so it's already still there

Texture files are very large, they can be in the teens or even tens of MB and one texture set can have 3 to 6 stacked, if you want 4K textures, which if you're running your game in 4K you do, or its not actually 4K, those textures can be 100MB +

Now think about how many textures are in a game, 8GB is a pathetic amount of VRam, the truth is games are still using 1K to 2K textures at most because anything larger than that will not fit in 2015 levels of VRam.

Brilliant, i would have bought tickets and popcorn to watch that.
