Poll: AMD Screws Gamers: Sponsorships Likely Block DLSS

Are AMD out of order if they are found to be blocking DLSS on Starfield

  • Yes

  • No

So MLID has wade in on this topic and said the lack of DLSS in titles that also feature FSR is due to the fact the game development team hasn't had the budget increase to ensure that Nvidia's tech is rolled out on release with recent AAA games and instead they've help promote the story that AMD is somehow responsible to blocking the implementation of DLSS.

Not sure what to believe, FSR is likely already coded into the game engine from the console development and from a developers POV it doesn't make sense to artificially delay or block DLSS for PC releases, nobody stands to gain from it.

But they are the good guys and do no wrong, consumers champion
Or maybe lots of people realise that AMD can be far from angels but if they were thrown into a pit with Nvidia then AMD might still come out smelling of roses.

That is, there is good, various shades of grey, bad, evil, and then the number #1 skulduggery company, Nvidia.

To get such a reputation takes decades of practice!

People still believe what mlid says despite always being wrong

After seeing the fake outrage all over the net by Nvidia fans who probably haven't even tried FSR2 in many cases, I can believe some of it. I've tested FSR2 and the DLSS mod and can't really fault FSR2 at the 1440P resolution & 75% scale I play at. Sure it will be worse at 1080P Performance but if you have to play at that setting then perhaps think of upgrading your system.

People forget that Nvidia is the one who started all this sponsorship malarky with TWIMTP and Gameworks. It would have been great if devs included TressFX alongside Hairworks in The Witcher 3 for example, but I suspect sponsorship got in the way back then but surprise surprise, no one made such a big fuss.

That is just good business and why they are so successful and dominate the dGPU market :)
We all know comparitavely that NV is anticonsumer and AMD is pro consumer.

Why anyone champions anti consumerism as a positive in these conversations is mind numbing.

Uh huh - Starfield was updated with dlss within literally 2 hours after launch by one person

And MLID wants me to believe it's because multi billion dollar AAA game developers don't have enough money to implement dlss... looks like MLID will be getting a nice bonus Christmas gift this year from Lisa for all the shilling

It's not like amd have any choice when:

- have what 10% of the market?
- are last to the market by several months or years
- last to the market and with a lesser/subpar option

Don't think amd have taken the path for the greater good of the "community".

If they really want to make a difference then put their focus on consoles and get fsr 2 in more than just 3 games or whatever it is now :o Or better yet, come up with their own solution for something new and needed and lead the way.

How can anyone believe that even for a second when is beyond me tbh.

Funny thing is, didn't he apparently make a comment on this something along the lines of "just spout of crap and see what sticks", could have sworn I read that on reddit somewhere

They’d both smell the same. Just the fact that people think otherwise shows their bias.

AMD cultivating that victim mentality works well for them.

It's not a great implementation though, just watch HUB most video on Starfield and there's glitching and artifacting that you wouldn't normally get with 1st party implementations.

You think so?

I guess you also think since all "politicians are at it" then voting for known liars and fraudsters avoids future disappointment? AKA the naive notion that things can't get any worse!

Nvidia invented "consumer focus groups"
Nvidia paid for exclusive for decades.
And more dirty tricks they have done in the last 30 years.

Yes, if AMD had 80% of the GPU market they too might play dirty but until such as they do play equally dirty, then corporate "morality" (for what little is worth) does mean something. Of course, any company playing dirty will eventually drag the whole market down.

Unreal that people see AMD in such good light.

HUBs vid is already a version behind as the FG mod is still in beta.

DLSS2 is fine and was the one out hours after launch, by two different people using different methods of injection.
