AMD To Launch RV770 On June 18th

Work fine for me :)

See the link if they don't work.

Work for you as they are in your browser cache ;)

Work for me now i've been to the site and loaded them, but for everyone else it'll just be error symbols. :)

Hmmm they look more beleivable. 4850 slightly better than a 9800GTX in a few games, worse in others and very poor in Company of Heros for some odd reason.

That was what I was expecting performance wise. Almost match the 9800GTX and sell it for £50-£80 less and they will sell by the shed loads.

I was hoping it would be better but we shall wait and see.

Is it the 4850 though?

I don't believe they specify which 48 card it is unless I'm being incredibley blind?

No they don't but if that is the 4870 then ATI is screwed so I gave them the benefit of doubt.

If the 4870 can't beat the 9800GTX, the 4850 isn't going to match the 8800GT which means that ATI will be launching a £130-£150 card which won't beat a £90 8800GT and a £200 - £300 card which is no better than a £190 9800GTX.

Time to pack in making graphics cards if that is true.

Ok so in seeing those graphs, do you think a 9800GTX @ £150 would be a good purchase? Bearing in mind it could well be a 4870 but I suspect and hope for ATi's sake it's the 4850

Lol we are benching the ?. A lot of rubbish if you ask me. Why won't they say which card they are benching they would probably be breaking the nda even with the stupid question mark so why not just say which card it is.

Well the Vantage results which have been released elsewhere for the 4870 tie in with the Vantage results seen on the dodgy Chinese site.

So I have reason to believe it is infact the 4870 and also ties in with ATi's original official claim that they will only be competing with the 9800GTX, they haven't officially stated otherwise.

In which case it's time for ATi to ship up and ship out :p

How easy do you think it would be for me to make up some benchmarks by browsing around the net and finding "predicted figures" etc... I am not saying that this is the case but its fully possible.
