I have never been so damned impatient for something in my life. If I have another week of booting up with a 7200GS, I will curl into the foetal position and rock backwards and forwards.

i know the feeling, im using a 6600 with a 24" screen @ 1920x1200 ..

Not anymore. After AMD took over all that stopped

We even used to get money off cards way back when but we'd have to order from the ATi store and when you factored shipping to the UK it didn't really work out much cheaper anyway.

Those prices sound about right. Small premium everywhere for new chips

4870 look right but 4850 should be only £130-£135ish. 4850 listed at $199 and 4870 at $350 os 4850 should be 57% of your 4870 price.

lmao - too true. Depends on performance though. The 4850 are competing with the GT so £170-£180 won't sell them many.

i cant, i dont have a credit card and i have a mortgage bill to pay at the end of the month, bah! though if these ATI cards are a decent price i might have to do a little fiddling around with my money
