I always keep boxes as it increases resale value, also when selling on it shows if you have the box in pristine condition the chances are you also looked after the hardware that's inside it.

I do the same mate, for the same reason.

Also having the packaging also helps if you have to post the item.

If you are referencing zen 2, its worth remembering that the 4 core ccx was part of an 8 core CCD (die), rather than a smaller chiplet die itself.

The leak is not much to go on, but at a guess it possibly indicates they're adding another domain of independently controllable clocks, a cluster of 4 cores as a subset of the 8 per CCD and reusing CCX name.

Not sure but I have noticed the newer cheaper end CPU's from AMD have all been using Zen2 designs. Zen 2 CCD allows AMD to produce 4 core CPU's by cutting off half of the CCX which is something you can't do with Zen3. So it might have something to do with that and they want the flexibility Zen2 gave them.

The Canadian list price is coming at £279 and £407 though? Where you getting £475 and £329 from?

Also note the Canadian prices are also generally inflated over US prices like UK prices are so a 1:1 Canadian version is likely pretty close.

Ah I had take the CAD price as with their VAT which would put ours at a similar price level then, not with a further 20% added.

But yeah if that without their sales tax and ours align then then that would be silly monies. I don't know why I keep looking, I'm not buying into a new gen till Xmas 2023 at earliest.

Those prices look like the maximum ppl could pay (inc VAT). Price of £300-£350 inc VAT for the 7700X, assuming sufficient supply, seems more likely. AMD needs to price the 6/8 core models competitively to challenge Intel I think.

I imagine the 12/16 core part prices could stay high for a while, as they did with Zen 3.
 
Canada has 12% taxation on computer hardware. We should deduct that from those prices before adding our own VAT.

Ryzen 5 7600X:
$423.99 CAD X 0.12 = $50.88 - 424 = $373.12 CAD
$374 CAD = £240 + 20% = £288

Ryzen 7 7700X
$631 CAD X 0.12 = $75.72 -$631 = $555 CAD
$555 CAD = £ 356 + 20% = £427

Ryzen 9 7900X
$798 CAD X 0.12 = $95 - $798 = $703 CAD
$703 CAD = £451 + 20% = £541

Ryzen 9 7950X
$1158 CAD X 0.12 = $139 - $1158 = $1,020 CAD
$1,020 CAD = £655 + 20% = £786
 
Those are probably the pre-launch scalp prices. If there aren't any in stock, they can try to charge more for early /pre-orders.

Or, just placeholder pricing...
