13% IPC uplift whilst also getting largely improved clock speeds?

Yeah this could be massive from the boys in red!

Based on those slides i reckon the best raptor lake wull do is match teh 7950x with teh 3D Cache chips blowing Intel out teh water in gaming (later this year)

Socket AM5 support planned through 2025+

Them power efficiency numbers sounded impressive looking forward when reviewers have it in hand see what it actually is

Seems pretty impressive, 12900K getting cyber bullied for a while there :D
Do we know when the press embargo ends for reviews, thats what im more interested in but nice to have the base facts now.

I've had it in mind to wait for the x3D regardless, but this all sounds good, and im glad the B650E was confirmed with PCIe 5 all round. Am i correct in understanding the X range is simply a better grade of components, making it better for peak performance & overclocking, or does it tend to get better features too? I've not bothered overclocking in years, so mainly looking for core features etc.

My understanding is that X670E will have PCIe 5.0 across the board, the other chipsets will have a mix of PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0 - generally the primary GPU slot will be PCIe 5.0.

All AM5 boards have overclocking support unless they just mean the ram on the lower boards but doubt it because they allowed it on b550 boards I recall Intel not allowing overclocking on the lower boards

Probably won't matter with PBO :)

There were a small hand full of extra details in the presentation not in the leaked slide pack.

* Lisa showed off RDNA3 running a game, and reiterated its launching later this year, they also provided an image of the front and side profile of the GPU, we can see it features a thicker heatsink than RDNA2 did, perhaps confirming rumours that power draw is indeed higher

* AMD also made sure to mention that AM5 will be supported through till at least 2025 and this means AM5 boards will support Zen 5 CPUs and also Zen 5 CPUs are coming in 2024.

* And AMD showed off its AM5 exclusive EXPO overclocking feature, it's a one button overclock to compete with XMP. 15 different DDR5 kits will be available at launch at up to 6400mhz and the speed is achieved with a single click in the bios (possible ryzen master too) and kits are validated for this speed

These not come with integrated GFX? AMD specs say the need a Gpu.

You guys raise a good point

All the leaks said these had an iGPU but I don't recall Lisa mentioning it today and info on AMD's website is conflicting. Did amd decide to remove the iGPU at the last minute?

And the iGPU was previously mentioned by AMD's Robert Hallock a few months ago.

I want to give them the benefit of doubt and say all zen4 has an iGPU and AMD just didn't want to talk about it today or forgot about it
