When I wrote about exclusive games, I referred to DX12 exclusive games, not Scorpio exclusive.
Lets not forget the Xbone is working API is almost DX12.

As for the RAM someone mentioned, is shared ram between CPU/GPU and the system as hole.

The GPU side of things has some upgrades as well, some extra features, supports HDMI 2.1 and Freesync.

Yeah. That is pretty big, because we going to have all HDMI 2.1 TVs supporting Freesync by default. The hardware going to be there at the port, due to the Adaptive Sync standard implemented in the HDMI 2.1, so any manufacturer blocking it going to look stupid. (aka NV blocking it on their DP1.3/1.4 GPUs on software/driver level, while the hardware is there).

Imho we going to have some pretty good times ahead.

Also that would force the hand of Sony to fast track the PS5. Or else they just hand over 24-30 months to MS marketing.
Especially since MS looks brutal with the "backwards" consoles, and ain't going to hamper Scorpion performance with restrictions.

Something Sony has done with the PS4 Pro. Is limited to 4K 30fps or 1080 30fps, and depending the relative display resolution is going to operate to.

If the graphics are Vega based, it'll be interesting to see what benefits things like HBCC will have on a shared RAM system.

The graphics is a custom Polaris 10, it's got 12GB( shared system ), and 40CUs, compared to the RX 480's 36 Cu's and 8GB.
It's also only a smidge slower clock wise compared to 480's reference Boost clocks.
Also rocking 326GB/s

The new XBOX is going to use 3GB as a RAMDisk as well.

If you listened to Raja's interview on PC Gamer, more or less it looks like Ryzen & Vega going to build an ecosystem if both are together.
Lets not forget the Ryzen CPUs are SOC and don't differ that much in real terms to console CPUs.
The PCI-E 3 bandwidth is there, the SOC CPU is there, and here we going to have a GPU with everything handled as cache etc. So what can be done in engineering level is the limit. And ain't that much limitations imho.
After all makes no economical sense building 3-4 different types of tech. Some integrating with each other, others not.

Who knows. It looks like AMD is making pie, having the knife and they will eat it. We can only apply some common logic to what we know and see atm, and have to wait few more weeks.

Have to disagree mate, i understand your point, Xbone still is not a fully DX12 console, Scorpio will be Microsofts full DX12 console, they cant afford for it to fail. You mark my words, they will throw a lot of weight behind it, they have to do that to sell the thing, its going to be expensive, so its going to require a ton of game backing to entice people to upgrade to it, the side benefit of this is AMD will get good gains in the games made for Scorpio, they already have a ton of DX12 cards out now, which is going to get larger with their Rebrandeon and Vega coming, Nvidias next Arch is quite a ways off still, and no news if its even coming with proper DX12 hardware support, AMD already have their groundwork laid out.

I cant understand how people can look at the past and just write them off as you are right, Xbone has done pretty much nothing for AMD's market share, DX12 bolt ons have been underwhelming at best, and AMD seem impotent in the high end GPU segment right now. So its easy to make the conclusion that AMD are doomed to more years of failure, but for me, this Scorpio announcement speaks volumes, Microsoft are pushing DX12 hard, very very hard, AMD are going to benefit from this massively. Watch this space.

Microsoft have stated they will not make Scorpio only games for quite some time (source: ReviewTechUSA) and a lot of the time it sounds like performance will sit idling because they also said that multiplayer games will run at the same framerates on the Scorpio as they do on the X-one so that nobody has an unfair advantage.

EDIT: I've read on now and seen this is all discussed so ignore me (Like usual)
:D

I almost started a stop watch to see how long it took before someone took offence to the ported comment - and a fairly short list of who it would be :s
So. It's important to understand that they aren't especially when trying to discuss this topic. The problem isn't necessarily the incorrect terminology but rather how people assume the process works because of the prolific use of the incorrect terminology.

They think games are literally moved from platform to platform and that damages any sort of intellectual conversion when it comes to this topic.

When is Freesync 2 coming out?

When Vega launches and I have time to see how the land lies it will be time to get a new GPU and a new panel! I'm getting more stutter on my new Ryzen system than I was on my 3570k. Not sure why. It's using my existing 970 and my old 2008 60hz 1220p monitor which tears a lot. With adaptive vsynch on it's a bit stuttery. More than it used to be. Well in BF1 mostly.

Just a shame that based on the monitor I buy, it will lock me in to AMD or Nvidia for quite a while!

RX 480/470/460 already supports HDR and LFC freesync, so it's not really about Vega, it's up to the monitors manufacturers, to offer an HDR monitor and with panels good enough with minimum/maximum refresh ( max > or = min x2.5 )

I Am in Rome! :)
AMD are in Rome!

Put the two together and what I have seen I am very impressed by!

Nuff said! :)

I've been patiently waiting for VEGA to arrive. But today I realised that at the rate my RX480 has been maturing with its FineWine technology, it'll be faster than Vega when it launches!

When in Rome, do as the Roman's do (but don't get arrested) :D

Have fun Gibbo and I am seriously hoping AMD launch Vega soon and again, I do hope it is faster than the TXP(p) :)
