Not game changing at all from what I have seen. Maybe in a few years time however when we have proper HDR together with OLED and some actual good content to show it off. As it is, I am in no rush to upgrade my 50" 1080P Plasma TV

I have a Pioneer Kuro LX5090. Great TV, but, my OLED LG 910V is better.

But I do agree with you, the difference in moving to HDR is going to be slight.

Can anyone name a proprietary PC hardware venture that has become the norm on the PC platform? E.g you see it across almost all computers.

Love my Panasonic plasma but oled is in another league :cool:

It is pretty much the only thing I want for my pc now.

Hdr is "ok" but not as ground breaking as what a lot make it out to be imo. Also, I think hdr for a monitor where you sit within arm's length would be rather uncomfortable due to the brightness... I can't stick my monitors being set any higher than 100 luminance even in a bright room!

as far as i know there was a dozen companies(intel, M$, HP, Dell, Compaq, IBM, etc..) involved in USB developement, i dont see how it was proprietary.

I didn't realise proprietary had to mean only one. But i guess it does mean singular? I thought it just meant ownership. Its like s/pdif cables. Proprietary to sony and philips.

100 is so dull to me. I calibrate mine to 180. Used to be higher before too

Plenty of news mate if you looked. Vega is coming out next week. Performance has been leaked and it will be much faster than a 1080, but slightly slower than a 1080Ti. It will be priced at £499 and will also come bundled with Prey. It is also said that driver improvements over the next few month's will likely close the gap between it and the 1080Ti. By end of the year through driver improvements it is believed it will even surpass the new Titan XP that just came out. So you are essentially getting a £1200 graphics card for under £500!

Okay. I made all that up. But honestly guys, if there is news, people will be discussing it rather than talking about something else no?

Tend to only come back when something releasing imminently, or just released.
