You better keep telling yourself that after you get your overpriced Nvidia card. I mean, it's better to live in a lie than in regret, right?Yeah thats the one, whose games that when we get, are done for Nvidia, seen as they own our market

HDR on actual UHD Premium TV with properly mastered HDR content is game-changing. I dont want to say that things look 3d, but the step up in realism is such that it almost feels like you're truly looking into a window to another world rather than a flat display, at least in terms of image quality. Proper sense of depth is obviously not there(like with VR).
Not game changing at all from what I have seen. Maybe in a few years time however when we have proper HDR together with OLED and some actual good content to show it off. As it is, I am in no rush to upgrade my 50" 1080P Plasma TVIt isn't game changing though. For people who have good quality TVs now they won't notice that much difference if they switch to a HDR TV.

Your OLED better be betterI have a Pioneer Kuro LX5090. Great TV, but, my OLED LG 910V is better.
But I do agree with you, the difference in moving to HDR is going to be slight.
Universl serial busCan anyone name a proprietary PC hardware venture that has become the norm on the PC platform? E.g you see it across almost all computers.
as far as i know there was a dozen companies(intel, M$, HP, Dell, Compaq, IBM, etc..) involved in USB developement, i dont see how it was proprietary.Universl serial bus
I didn't realise proprietary had to mean only one. But i guess it does mean singular? I thought it just meant ownership. Its like s/pdif cables. Proprietary to sony and philips.as far as i know there was a dozen companies(intel, M$, HP, Dell, Compaq, IBM, etc..) involved in USB developement, i dont see how it was proprietary.
100 is so dull to me. I calibrate mine to 180. Used to be higher before tooLove my Panasonic plasma but oled is in another league It is pretty much the only thing I want for my pc now.
Hdr is "ok" but not as ground breaking as what a lot make it out to be imo. Also, I think hdr for a monitor where you sit within arm's length would be rather uncomfortable due to the brightness... I can't stick my monitors being set any higher than 100 luminance even in a bright room!
Plenty of news mate if you looked. Vega is coming out next week. Performance has been leaked and it will be much faster than a 1080, but slightly slower than a 1080Ti. It will be priced at £499 and will also come bundled with Prey. It is also said that driver improvements over the next few month's will likely close the gap between it and the 1080Ti. By end of the year through driver improvements it is believed it will even surpass the new Titan XP that just came out. So you are essentially getting a £1200 graphics card for under £500!/popsheadin
Sorry to be lazy, I cant be bothered to read who knows the amount of pages.
So question; still no news?

Okay. I made all that up. But honestly guys, if there is news, people will be discussing it rather than talking about something else no?
the new Titan XP
even if there was actual news, this thread would still have more argumentative rubbish than actual info...
Hey, I understand what you are saying but this is how it is here in the GPU forum. Not like you are new to this place, you should know this by nowActually, no... I keep popping in here hoping to find something rather than drivel, bitchiness, etc,

even if there was actual news, this thread would still have more argumentative rubbish than actual info...
