clock that 3000+ even higher!

It managed 2.4Ghz, didn't bother any higher as my RAM capped out, but I plan on selling it next week, so I'd rather not fiddle with it's lifespan :p

Are there any plans to drop the prices of the 1mb cache cpu's? Why have the prices for them stayed pretty much the same?

Hi there

They are end of life, won't be getting any more in once stock has sold out.

Going to get a 4600 after much thinking of upgrading to conroe or am2. Cheaper than going whole route and it should see me through till games come which demand a big upgrade.

Gibbo I take it from your your first post that if I order before end of week it should get to me tuesday or wednesday?

Not enough to notice. I have a Venice and an Opty, and at the same speeds I cannot tell the difference between them. Benches may show a few percent difference but that's all.

Seeing as OcUK only offer the choice of next day delivery I would assume so. I guess if you pay for it, you're entitled to expect it.

well ive gone for the 4600 and a Asus A8N-E nForce4 Ultra not bad for 250 quid plus ive sold my other parts and its only cost me 100 quid will last me for a while now

I was thinking about the 5000+ if I was going to go am2,very good price but its bordering on conroe 6600 price which I would get over 5000

curse you OCUK...I had to sit and explain to the wife why I needed a new cpu

but hey it means I will have an old 3500+ to play with..maybe a shuttle on the network to store music and photos

Just waited for the wife to goto work, first of all I added the 3800+ to the basket, and just before checkout, I thought, she's going to kill me anyway, might aswell have the 4200.

Just hope this will clock somewhere near my 3700 sd, that could do 2750 on the msi m/b, but only 2.65 on the asrock, it was one of the first SD core's. I guess that will end up on MM.

Why not get the 3800+ as they will prolly be excactly the same chip and prolly clock to the same speed

The problem really is the asrock matx board, it doesn't have a lot of overclocking features, so I thought going for the 4200 if overclocking fails I still would have a faster chip.

Plus I couldn't resist it, if she's going to kill me, might as well get my monies worth :)
