Asus USED to be before Elmor left. So it seems You are right with Gigabyte
thats where manual comes in
DAH! just released, thank you
Yeah, I've just managed to get my 81% teamgroup 3200 cl16 b-die to 3600 (16-16-16-16-36-52-345) at over 400% HCI, so hopefully that will be stable enough. Currently gives me about 68.3ns on aida. That's plenty fast enough for me I think as I'm not really into tinkering.
Thats nice TRY tRFC 312 with those timings if ya want And what volts on ddr are You at ??
In the bios its set at 1.41v but on HWinfo it's saying it's actually 1.44v, it seems to overvolt by about 0.03v on my X370 Taichi
Im running 1.452v on mine, not sure if I want to push it more.
Thought B-die was good for 1.5V?
As far as I heard yeah, I just dont know if I can sleep at night knowing that Im sending more than 1.45 for daily usage.
Seems my ram is happy enough to post, boot windows and stress test at 15 15 15 15 35 @ 3600MHz @ 1.35v.
That might be the best I can get with this ram at 3600MHz with lowest timings.
I'm gonna give it a quick 100% pass with HCI then game on it and see how it goes.
Seems to be an issue with this. Although I set 15 for the CL it is actually setting it to 16.
Is this a memory thread? Damm
@Gibbo Any chance of a pre-order on the 3950X?
Okay so new motherboard running, with my ram installed. Managed 3600 cl14 with IF 1800.
That gets me a 70ns latency...
But my peak core speed is low, at 4.1ghz multi and 4.25ghz single. How do i improve that? I
Install the new chipset driver, latest BIOS, and it should honestly do it on its own. What CPU is it?
Just hit 3800 ck14 and 1900 IF.
just need to work out how to boost just a little higher
Ahh yeah, that's right, on pbo mode or auto overclock?
I have PBO off and Auto OC off, my 3800X goes up to 4525Mhz which is a little above the box clocks.
I've used DRAM calc to tighten my timings (x570 taichi, 3800x 8pack 4000mhz ram)
It boots, but then i get errors in membench. I'm a complete noob when it comes to ram timings, i'd like it as fast as possible stable, whats the next step for me, which timings do i slacken and to what?
XMP takes the infinity fabic out of 1:1 (mine wont go over 1800mhz anyway)
Did you update the BIOS? Because early Taichi BIOS did not allow to overclock IF due to a bug. 1.70A should solve it.
@Zeed I need you bro. Help me set up my 3900x, with 8 Pack cl14 3200. Ive been at it all day, and most of that time is spent waiting for it to post and cycle through checks only to fail and I have to reset the bios
