Jim ******** all over Zen 2, he says they are crap silicon, gaming performance will still be way behind the 9900k.

Which CPU runs which thread is decided by OS scheduler. Don't know if Windows uses the best core information. In fact Ryzen Master marks the best per CCX/CPU and the second best core per CCX.
I'm sure CPU uses same data also internally.
Windows scheduler has been updated for Ryzens, so possibly there's some knowledge of that.Which CPU runs which thread is decided by OS scheduler. Don't know if Windows uses the best core information.

Anyone who thinks they will be anywhere close to a 9900k are delusional.

2700X vs 9900K stock for stock is only around 15% on average in games, so a 10% bump over Zen+ will have the 3800X close enough to the 9900K.
I would love to upgrade, but the prices of x570 motherboard have put me off. Hell even x470 prices are higher. meh

Probably why they cherry picked this game cos the 2700x is only a few % behind.

So, expect the 3800X to be pulling ahead of everything else with close to ~200 FPS, vs only 171 FPS for a i9-9900K.
GTAV is the worst possible case scenario for Ryzen. It's AMD's worst performing title compared to Intel. So not really very fair to choose that is it?![]()
Plus 14% puts 3800x just above the 8700K @103.39
