AMD gets battered in ROTT and beaten quite badly in FC5. Not good! Considering the 9900k can be had on offer, with a cheap mobo and cheap RAM.

Gaming-Benchmarks (Min FPS) between 65W 3700X and unlocked 9900k:

RotTR 9900K 8% faster
FC5 9900K 16% faster
Wolfenstein 2 9900K 4% slower
AC: O 9900K 3% slower
Cities Skylines 9900K 4% slower
KC: Deliverance 9900K 9% slower

What gives me doubts about this is they have the 9900K 50% faster in ROTR, i've never seen a gap anything like that huge in any other review between the 2700X and 9900K in that game.

It looks like all of it has been pushed down to take into account the Zen 2 performance difference while still giving the 9900K a good performance lead, suddenly Zen+ looks like Bulldozer.

I'll wait for real reviews.

Just remember there are plenty X470 boards that will handle an overclocked 12 core and even 16 core. I'll be buying X470 for sure if the X570 prices are as daft as it appears.

That table treats boards with that single 4C10 high side FET way too gently.
Even with VRM heatsink that's basically good only for current 65W CPUs and 100W CPUs start pushing it to hot temperatures.
The Stilt got Asus B450-F to overheat and throttle CPU to ~0.5GHz in 12 minutes with stock 2700X doing X264 encoding.
Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro was also running at over 100C.

And if Zen2s run at lower voltages than current 14nm GloFo chips that makes them more demanding per watt.
