AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

I havent installed it yet since I will have to do Flashback and I dont feel like unplugging stuff from my PC atm. I guess I'll leave the one I installed last week which is the version before that for now.

Flashing to the latest BIOS will be the last thing I do before disassembling to replace the CPU. Everything is working fine with my 1700 ATM so why bother fiddling around with it for no gain.

^^^^yep it's buggy... a lot on old agesa etc are working but buggy.

What are the X570s like? As this is AMD first inhouse chipset for quite a while, the previous one were done by AS Media, I have visions if think being like the 3xx series where it took a while for thing to all be working mostly ok.

For the mobo price in my local shop would be 1250AED with according to XE converts to £271

ASUS TUF gaming x570 is 990aed so converts to £215.

Free delivery in the morning.

I did it because I have an Intel CPU, so I wanted to make sure that Flashback was working before getting a Zen 2 CPU. Imagine I get the CPU and the BIOS doesnt update. I rather know before hand that the CPU will work once I get it :)

I'd agree but stack the high end GPUs a bit more. I'd use the Vega's plus 2080TI and a 4K 2080ti SLI option where applicable. Give the horses aka fps free rein at high res.

Probably a single 2080ti. Really think SLI/xfire should be dead. It pretty much is anyways.

Fair play, I've never had to use mine and get to just use a USB stick. How did it go?

Do people anticipate a stock shortage or a price hike if demand is too large?

If the 9900k is faster in games then the 3800x or 3900x in reviews I think sales will be lower then expected imho

Stock's supposedly tight.
Which is a shame considering prior launches.

Whereas the reverse is true for Navi lol.

Another way to raise prices

Even with the price drop I can't imagine many are looking at buying Navi so I'm not surprised. Potential buyers either already have Vega 64 and thus see a small improvement, or have bought 2060/2070 by now.

Seems that the final AGESA needed to properly run the chips is being purposely held back until launch day.

Which would explain why people who managed to get a chip early are struggling to do much with it. I assume reviewers already have it for their testing though.

Not that I would do this, but you could order, read reviews and if you like what they say
.. Open it...

It don't don't...
Return it.

I'm sure however there will be enough time to read reviews then buy.

Stock is meant to be really healthy for Navi.
Shame they didn't drop it $100 rather than $50. Would have been an absolute killer GPU for the price.

I'm looking at reviews tomorrow, but at the moment I'm looking at 2070 Super to replace my Vega 64.

I don't understand why AMD aren't pushing some price discounts if one buys an X570/Navi/Ryzen 3.

If you order from places that don't open on a Sunday so will ship on a Monday you can order at 2pm and cancel later that day once the reviews have been digested.
