AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Fair play, I've never had to use mine and get to just use a USB stick. How did it go?
It went well. I had renamed the file incorrectly the first time so it wouldnt flash. I fixed my mistake and it worked flawlessly :) Technically when I get the 3800X/3900X it should boot now haha

I'm just really hoping there are x570 boards under £200, £250 at a push. I'm not interested in getting an older tech board and flashing it.

I've been stalling on upgrades for years. Every new launch thread you'll find me in there posting about my i7 930 I desperately want to replace but for some reason or another I skip and wait another year.

A 9700k or 9900k was to be last port that I got off at and upgraded but "lol prices" so I skipped it, and here I am beyond all personal expectations and am hyped for an AMD CPU. I've not had an AMD CPU since 2010 and only 1 Intel CPU but over the years I've never looked at AMD as an option until now, the buzz around Zen 2 is electric. My brother even wants to upgrade but I convinced him to wait for Zen 2.

My concern is that this time AMD seem to be putting out a more powerful CPU and still cheaper. But what's it worth if the entry price is equal to Intel because of the x570 boards being priced so high. In that scenario I'd feel better buying Intel, which could get cheaper with the price drop rumours.

Could well end up being disappointed again and seeing what next year brings.

Stock is meant to be really healthy for Navi.
Shame they didn't drop it $100 rather than $50. Would have been an absolute killer GPU for the price.

I'm looking at reviews tomorrow, but at the moment I'm looking at 2070 Super to replace my Vega 64.

I don't understand why AMD aren't pushing some price discounts if one buys an X570/Navi/Ryzen 3.

Exactly. Being the same price everyone will just get a Nvidia super instead. It's like clockwork, Another year of AMD making stupid decisions. AGAIN???

Seems that the final AGESA needed to properly run the chips is being purposely held back until launch day.

Which would explain why people who managed to get a chip early are struggling to do much with it. I assume reviewers already have it for their testing though.

That's annoying, so no one will be able to validate how x370 / 470 boards run with the new CPUs until sometime after Sunday ?

Really want to get a 12core and finally be able to run at XMP specs for my ram !

If you order from places that don't open on a Sunday so will ship on a Monday you can order at 2pm and cancel later that day once the reviews have been digested.

I had this thought too lol

Im still gona wait to be honest, 2700X @4.2Ghz All Core with 1.365v (-0.125 offset) is running fine for everything i do right now :)

Just hope these benchmarks dont give me the upgrade itch right away :p
