Most people have cheapo DDR4 and even high end ddr4 is around 11 percent slower in games (min FPS), comparing the i9 12900K with DDR4 and DDR5:If going DDR5 now you need to spend almost £300 to get 32gb of anything decent vs half that for a decent set of b-die. The performance difference between either is negligible while the B-die will likely hold its value more for resale compared to today's top DDR5.
Also, not true about the pricing, DDR5 5600 32GB kits are priced around £170-£180. With DDR5, you don't need to buy low CAS latency RAM, you get more performance from the bandwidth per second (MT/s).
For a new platform intended to last 4-5 years, there's not much point limiting it to DDR4.
