AMD AM4 AGESA Combo V2 PI 1.2.0.7

Supports 5800X3D, says so even on techpowerup.

Yeah, but is not mentioned on the AsRock's page. I'm guessing is working, but can't be sure - way, way back into Socket A days had a CPU which appeared as unsupported CPU, but was working fine with that board. But... can be a lottery. Upgrading the BIOS may take into incompatibility zone my old 2600x and the MB "*ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if you are going to use Pinnacle, Raven or Summit Ridge CPU on your system."

Really hope the lacklustre sales lights a fire under their butts to get the 3D chips out ASAP... as in launch AND wide availability in Q1
And forces them to lower prices as well! :D

Just wondering, if all this new chips were 3D models, would they be worth it then?
Depends if the performance would go up significantly (like it did with 5800x3D) or it will hit a wall at some place... plus the price.
The relative difference can be quite low between 5600x and 7600x - around 18% in this case. The price on the other hand...

In comparison, which "mid range gamer" would spend $500-$1000 for a mid range GPU to get around 20% improvement? I wouldn't...

Let's not forget the defense that was going for previous gen Ryzens (3xxx, 2xxx and 1xxx) when it compared to faster Intel - which would be about the same gap now.

7600X slower OC than Stock.

So TPU still have no idea how to overclok a modern CPU.

Do we know for sure yet, if Asus properly supports DDR5 modules with XMP profiles, yet?

Other manufacturers have confirmed XMP support.

Somebody said they were having troubling setting up XMP on a X670 Asus board.

AMD with there crazy Canadian prices.I fell for there expensive gear and this was the result,by the way I am 100% satisfied with the AMD gear. Also this is just normal PC Gaming gear I buy for personal use.

Actual receipts of AMD AM5 Gear- CPU/Motherboard/32GB Ram -My cost $1359.38
Actual receipts of Intel 12th Gen Gear- CPU/Motherboard/32GB Ram -My cost $1470.87

AMD

Intel gear

Seen 3 picture posts in the last week on Reddit of people who have broken off their chiplets trying to de-lid their new 7950x

Its gamble between whats stronger, the solder between the chip and the PCB or the solder between the die cap and the IHS, which ever is weaker will give out.

If a DDR5 module kit is listed on a QVL list, does it mean the RAM will definitely work on a motherboard, at the XMP rated speeds?

For example, this board:

Which supports lots of different XMP modules from Kingston and Teamgroup.
