Are these (7700k) regularly running at 95 degrees or have I misread a review?
Not in gaming, also can simply set thermal limit to 85c in bios this will actually gain some performance over stock

Its the platform as a whole why people won't want to move - cost for new CPU/RAM/Board is just off-putting.
It only says desktop so they will prob just shift the allocation to server where they make more money anyways.
Why do you want an X670 board? You get the same features on B650 /B650E boards.i was tempted, but why the hell would i buy a motherboard at £500+ they are having a laugh with these prices and i hope it bites them in the ass
Sure there are lower "tier" versions. But if i was changing i would want the same "tier" as i bought last generation, Just not willing to spend an extra £150-£200 for it.
No, the 7700X are cool, they are running at just 90c. The 7950x is the one at 95c.Are these (7700k) regularly running at 95 degrees or have I misread a review?
Doesn't get that hot in games and you can simply go into bios and set thermal limit to 85c and it will actually perform slightly better than stock
That's all that you need to change
No need to even test for stability
What would be interesting is to have both platforms on water cooled so measure how much the liquid is heating up
Because jay2cents mentioned the cooler isn't really getting saturated with heat as you'd expect
Your kidding right? Considering how hot and how much power draw the last 4 generations of intel chips did that were no better in performanceNo, the 7700X are cool, they are running at just 90c. The 7950x is the one at 95c.
In all seriousness, all zen 4 run lava hot. You need to tune and tinker to operate them properly. I mean they increased power consumption by more than 50% on some models to be able to compete with intel. Thats absurd
I wonder if there will be DDR5 price drops following the release of Raptor Lake.
We know Intel wants to boost sales of DDR5 in 2022, especially as Meteor Lake will be DDR5 only.
Anyone here going to buy a Raptor CPU?
Part of the problem, is that even the lowest bandwidth 4800 MT/s 16GB modules are relatively expensive. Nor is the stock good for DDR5.

They're set to encounter thermal limits before they encounter TDP issues, so this is 'by design' as they say. Basically they've upped the TDP etc. limits, so now it runs into thermals first. Are these (7700k) regularly running at 95 degrees or have I misread a review?
Well here was my 7700X at 5550Mhz all core in cheap MSI AIO.Always remember Intel at 100°C is always cooler than AMD at 95°C,Science proven fact by the nutty nutbars that are full of nuts, they will say anything to fit there agendaAre these (7700k) regularly running at 95 degrees or have I misread a review?
Is the 7900x better than the 7950x in gaming alone? I’m considering this instead of Intel. Also what the best (most stable) memory to get?

Lowering prices will be bad for a premium company.Demand drops like a rock, and instead of lowering prices they lowered the production. Amd lol
AMD Cuts Down Ryzen 7000 "Zen 4" Production As Demand Drops Like a Rock
AMD reportedly scaled down production of its Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors in response to bleak demand across the PC hardware industry. Wccftech claims to have read an internal company document calling for reduced supply to the channel as market response to the Ryzen 7000-series is weak...www.techpowerup.com
Do you chaps think it could be a mistake to cheap out on 2x16GB 5600 DDR5? Then overclock to 6000 MT/s or higher?
Really? Generally speaking intel cpus run cool. The last lavahot cpu was the 8700k because it wasnt soldered.Your kidding right? Considering how hot and how much power draw the last 4 generations of intel chips did that were no better in performance
