I wonder how current AM5 boards will support higher rated DDR5 modules in the future (e.g. 8000-10,000 MT/s)?
Maybe they will engineer future modules to use less voltage, so that they can be ran at similar voltages to existing modules, such as 1.1-1.45v?
Upgraded to 7900X and 16GB DDR5 6000Mhz, tis very fast, running in eco mode, performance is up there with the big boys and temps are great. Great job AMD.
Running around 76c under load, think I got a good chip here.
rumored to have at least as big a performance jump as 5800X3D was to 5800X, so 15-20ish% in CPU limited games.really surprised we've not had more leaks/news of Zen43XC
Unless you play Spider Man!

Wondering how Zen4 3D cache will affect AMD performance in this game/engine. Speaking of which, I'm really surprised we've not had more leaks/news of Zen43XC ahead of CES. I wonder if they'll still get announced/unveiled during the event?
Seems a no-brainer for AMD to release it ASAP, as it should regain AMD the gaming performance crown by such a huge margin that Intel can't hope to regain it, for several years at least.

Thanks for putting this one up, can see the 7900X is still up there with the top dogs. I'm loving this CPU so far, desktop OS has so much pop, everything is instant and temps are great. I came from a 5800X and it really feels like a huge upgrade. My bro is about to go with the top Intel chip, but for the extra power consumption I'm not sure it's worth it. 7*** Series in eco mode is really decent.Let's be honest you won't buy one even if its faster in gaming
Gonna wait for x3d see how it performs and might jump on am5 I don't want to build intel system now and end up regretting it when x3d is out also hoping b650e boards get cheaper as time goes by , ain't in no rush current pc does what I want
What resolution is that benchmark can't seem to see it mentioned?
Why isnt the gap as big here ? It's at 1080p
I play this with an 5900x 3080 , maxed 1440p RT with DLSS quality and FPS is 70 - 100+ and it runs smooth no stutter lag

Edit I see it's the older Spiderman game
No Dave. IMC is on the CPU so will work fine with higher spped memory on older AM5 boards, Just like DDR 4 didProbably new boards and chipsets required to get higher speeds.

Yes, this is generally what I expect to happen with AM5.No Dave. IMC is on the CPU so will work fine with higher spped memory on older AM5 boards, Just like DDR 4 did
I went from a x370 + 3900X + 64GB DDR4@3000 + slow gen 3 NVMe to 7950X + B650E + 32GB DDR5 @5600 + fast gen 4 NVMe and have not noticed much difference overall, except in benchmarks, its over 2x faster in benchmarks. Thanks for putting this one up, can see the 7900X is still up there with the top dogs. Yeah I agree, he's a die hard Intel fan though. The X3D chips could be gaming monsters as well, but he won't consider AMD.if he can wait , AMD should reveal what the x3d 7000 is about at CES 2023 JAN 5th- 8th
Oh I have noticed it in OS use as well as applications, feels like there is more instant reponse. Maybe it's placeboI went from a x370 + 3900X + 64GB DDR4@3000 + slow gen 3 NVMe to 7950X + B650E + 32GB DDR5 @5600 + fast gen 4 NVMe and have not noticed much difference overall, except in benchmarks, its over 2x faster in benchmarks.
Not sure why you've not noticed much different. What GPu pairing with because even from a 3000 series to 5000 series I could see a huge difference in smoothness gaming with the same GPU and that was only a 5700xt at time. The 7000 series is another 20-30% on that for gaming so unless you playing medium 1080p on a 3090 or something then you should see an obvious difference I feel from my experience.I went from a x370 + 3900X + 64GB DDR4@3000 + slow gen 3 NVMe to 7950X + B650E + 32GB DDR5 @5600 + fast gen 4 NVMe and have not noticed much difference overall, except in benchmarks, its over 2x faster in benchmarks.

AMD has no motivation to shout about it. Would hurt current Zen 4 sales.
